I'm spending my very first Christmas alone (i.e. not at my parents house as they'll be abroad) & my first ever Christmas living with a partner! My brother is going to be staying with us so I want to make my first adult Christmas (haha) really memorable and so my little bro doesn't feel like he is missing Christmas at the parentals home.

I'm thinking I'd like to make 2 little Christmas Eve hampers for the boys for around £15-£20 each?

Ideas of what to include so far:
    • PJs
    • Christmas chocs
    • A bottle of winter ale /craft beer

Other than that I'm pretty much stuck. I'm not great at buying for boys, especially when it's things that will be nice for Christmas Eve?!

Any ideas what to buy a 23 & 27 year old for a hamper?
  • How about DVDs to watch on Christmas Eve, a takeaway voucher for you all to share, fun trivia books or a board or card game to play.
2014 20p savers club #2 I've given up trying to keep track of how much that pig eats!
2014 £2 savers club #3 - I've no idea, but the pig is beginning to get mighty heavy

Good ideas but I've got board games and DVDs covered already! (we have traditions of these already in the family at Christmas, can't bit a bit of cheesy Arnie in Jingle All The Way every Christmas!)

I did a bit of shopping today, so far got:

Other half: (he's also a veggie trying to be vegan so buying is hard)
    - Expensive green tea in a nice decorative tin (super reduced at TK Maxx)
    - Christmas socks
    - Nice big fluffy Christmas themed dressing gown
    - Small packet of savoury gourmet popcorn

Thinking to get some organic snacky type stuff from our local organic/vegan shop. He's also he's really into Break*ng Bad right now so going to buy a white mug & draw Heisenb*rg's face with a Xmas hat on. Other that I'm stuck what else to get.

    Brother:
    - Christmas themed Pjs
    - Christmas socks
    - Lots of Christmas chocs
    - Candy canes
    - Gourmet savoury popcorn

Still to get - Winter ale/beer, Christmas mug (seen a great one but it's sold out!), a can of magic snow.

    Hi everyone,
I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but Hobbycraft is doing a 3 for 2 offer on all sorts of hamper making things (baskets, cellophane, shredded tissue and ribbons etc.) They're not really cheap, but maybe the offer will make it worthwhile for some people!

Famous five - Raspberry pop, lemonade, a spy kit (torch light, magnifying glass, that sort of thing), ginger beer, a stuffed dog looking like Timmy, a hair band like Anne would wear. I don't know if the Famous Five Game-books are still in circulation but if they are and its a reasonable price, go for it....:)

Lawyer daughter - a pair of sensible yet fashionable shoes (she's gonna be doing a lot of errands), a travel mug/lunch bag, lawyer fiction books - John Grisham's books are good, an item with the scales of justice on it or a figurine on the lady of justice like below

That's all I could come up with.....Hope it helps:)

The items - free (from various gift sets I received a while back):rotfl:

    I am so stoked :)

I intend to get a toffee pack to go with this present nearer to Christmas and as I would be seeing the receiver on Christmas day, I decided not to wrap in tissues to hide the gift.

    Hi all,

A quick question for you all if I may...

I want to make up some mugs as xmas presents but I'm not sure which size of cello bags would be best for a 'normal' sized mug. Anyone have any advice/experience?

    Thanks,

    Kevin x
