  • I don't know what your budget is but my son plays a card game called Zombie Fluxx. He recently introduced it to the children in the after school club I work in and they love it. It is suitable for a wide range of ages.

Thanks for that - have ordered for DS's stocking!

    Hi,

I bought this book for my dad http://www.alibris.co.uk/500-Greatest-Gambles-and-Gamblers-Graham-Sharpe/book/13632310 (500 greatest gambles and gamblers). I got it for £2.50 from an independent book store. From the link that I've pasted, it looks like some places sell it for reasonably cheap.

Would your budget stretch to one of these?

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Razorpit-RP-O-B-Razor-Blade-Sharpener/dp/B004W2UMDW

DH got one earlier this year after I read some male posters elsewhere raving about it. DH swears by it and previously he was always moaning about the cost of razor blades. I can also vouch for it working, cos I shaved my legs with hubby's razor and he didn't notice.;):D

Thanks, looks fab. Budget should stretch to this - problem with shaving stuff is it tends to be quite expensive. May have to be a small hamper!

I have the stuff now for the cupcake hamper as it is only a small one for niece. I found a cupcake decorating kit in B&M clearance for 1.99 reduced from 3.99. That with the cupcake book and the cookie cutter from the Disney mag is sufficient. I will only add to it if I see any cupcake cases or flags that are both cheap and in an appropriate design. The girly ones I've seen so far are very much of a 'princess' design and she'll be 12 3/4 at Chrismas.

    So costings

Cupcake decorating kit - 1.99 (full price 3.99)
    Cupcake book - 1.59 (full price 9.99)
disney cookie cutter and booklet 99p

    so £4.57 cost. Full value £14.97 :T

Haven't included any cost of hamper yet as don't know what I'm using, might be something I already have.

What about some tubes of decorating icing, bags of chocolate drops and sweets to decorate it.
