  • Hello!

For all those doing baking themed hampers your recipients will love them! Me and my boyfriend did hampers last year and I got a baking hamper (he got a gym hamper) and I absolutely loved it. I still use alot of the bits and pieces now!

    This year I'm doing my boyfriend a 90's themed hamper. So far it's got the following in it;

    Sega mega drive and games
    Furby
    Tamagotchi
    Pops
    90s football classics DVD
Some Brit pop cd's - blur oasis and super grass
Fresh prince of bell air DVD
Fresh prince of bell air tshirt
    Personalised baywatch mug
Teenage ninja turtles socks and lounge pants
    Slinky
    Pot of gunge
    Yo yo
    Pez dispenser and sweets
    Trolls

Can anyone thing of anything else?? Ideally I want a few more things he can use rather than too many toys/gimmicky things (which i seem to have too much of now). The only useful things I can think of now tho is maybe a note book with something from the 90's on or maybe boxers??
  • Hi I'm thinking about doing Hampers for my children for their christmas presents this year. Basically I was going to do 2 hampers for them to share. DD is 6 and DS will be 4.

I was going to do a Lego Hamper:-

    Lego City Heavy Lift Helicopter
    Lego City Excavator Transporter
    Lego City Police ATV
    Lego City Brickmaster
    Lego Ninjago Character encyclopidia
    Lego Ninjago Brickmaster
    Lego Friends Stephanie's Soccor school
    Lego Friends Emma's Karate Class
    Lego Friends Water Ski
    Lego Friends Stephanie's Outdoor Bakery
    Lego Friends Rehearsal Stage

And I was also going to do a Nintendo DS Hamper too:-

    Used DS
    Case for the DS
Stylus and game case for DD
Stylus and game case for DS
    Games

I'm also going to do them a joint hamper for the Allotment:-

    frog kneeling mat
    ladybird kneeling mat
    frog plant pot
    ladybird plant pot
    frog plant pointer
set of 5 plain plant pots

I do have all of the Lego items already (throughout the year when on offer and massively reduced)
I would need to buy the stuff for the Nintendo DS hamper.
I also have all of the items that i;ve listed for the allotment hamper. They already have tools, watering buckets and gloves so not sure what else to add.
    Anything anyone can think of?
I love giving hampers i think a lot more thought goes into them, love it :-)

Whoever was doing the zombie theme, I've no idea of your budget and they can be pricey but what about tickets to a zombie chase game/event? There are various ones across the country.

How about packets of seeds or a wildlife/nature book for them to take with them to identify bugs/birds/flowers etc?

Ohhhhh I want one of those from someone. I just want mine to contain a large lockable cage to keep them in from time to time, a gag for my teenagers mouth and a 'panic room' installed so I can take and make phone calls without interruption.:rotfl: Though a lockable make up case would be a good start too. :D

What is it about the phone ringing that makes them all come running! I feel your pain :D

Im doing a cinema theme for my sis and her boyf, including a cinema gift card because they can never afford to go out. Will include popcorn, sweets, some drinks, but am really stuck for what else? Any ideas?

you could use a mixing bowl? :)
I might, but the cardboard box the nozzles come in is quite wide and reluctant to take them out of box cos instructions for what each are on it and the book itself is also wide. I'd need a large bowl but am mindful of how small my sister's kitchen is. Will have a search nearer the time for something. Thanks for idea though.

LOL. I once got praise when I returned to working from the ops manager for my ability to write down a phone number someone shouted me, whilst on the phone having a diff conversation. Yeah, I'd had from time eldest learnt to talk to hone this skill.:rotfl:

Over on the Holly and the Ivy thread, some were talking about a bar of chocolate that's in Tesco where the wrapper is like a £50 note. Some were going to add them to movie type hampers/gifts. It can represent how much it would cost to go. :D Am only partly joking too, me and 10yo went to see 1D film at weekend, 2 tickets, the comfy VIP seats (I paid for them as she was recovering from an op and wanted her to feel comfortable if she started suffering part way through) and 2 hotdogs = £25! Glad I smuggled my own drinks in! Other than that a fleecy blanket for them to snuggle up under?

I'm also planning on getting some packets of Twinings tea in different flavours (a brand she wouldn't normally buy for herself as too expensive) and some nice biscuits & chocolates.

You can also buy individual tea bags from the Twinings website - I used these for a tea lovers advent calendar last year for my sister and daughter - bought 24 different types and put one in each day. Could be useful for the hamper if they'd like to try a wide range of the teas without having to have a box of each.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

How about a cinema magazine? Or a copy of the Movie Guide (big paperback.) If local to you and they don't drive and you do, a home made 'taxi voucher' to get them there might appeal. KP Nuts tubs are also good value.

  • I am doin a games nite hamper for my sister and family & would be grateful of any ideas anyone has.
so far I have the following
