notimetospare wrote: »Evening all,
I have failed miserably since going back to work on Tuesday:( and done very little apart from cooking tea and clearing away. I am just so tired when I get home that after tea I really can't be bothered to do anything:mad:
I have given myself a good kick up the behind, and this evening have pottered in the sitting room, hoovered and mopped the bathroom floor, so now going to have a :coffee:
I feel like somehow over the past couple of years I have lost my way a little bit and let things get out of control, that includes my home, my weight( 3 stone heavier) and generally letting myself go:mad:
But, enough is enough, and the time has come to get sorted. I want to thank you all as reading the thread always cheers me up and you are a wonderful supportive bunch:D
Sorry for sounding such a misery,(I'm not really):p
See you soon x
Moan away if it helps a bit! I am a returned flylady but I do know that little and often makes a huge difference when it comes to the housework. Babysteps all the way, whatever it is that you want to change in life.0 -
Evening!
Welcome to all new and returning flyladies!
Am finished work . DS perked up later in the day but been very subdued. He's been quite nice, actuallydosed him up before bed, he did look tired bless him. DD collected de from nursery, then I made tea for us and my mum (upset as stepdad back in hosp
). Kitchen has been cleaned up after, though, and DW ready to go (again).
Between working I have WM x 1 and hung to dry, flown LR and tonight I did a little in garden involving some squirty weed killer as the path to the bin store is just a joke. Looking much tidier out the back, though, and have my compost bin up and running again :T
I think it might be nearly bedtime, thinking of taking kiddies (and mum) to a little farm for the morning, just to get us all out. DS missed his trip today, so we will pretend tomorrow that we are getting in the bus, lol.Bossymoo

Been too busy to post but I have been flying! Today I sorted out car insurance and breakdown cover, and have dusted and hoovered downstairs.
Tired now! Going to menu plan for next week as I have a busy weekend away lined up.
Need to source a cat-sitter!0 -
Evening all - back from 10 days away.
Welcome to the newbies and returners, plus hugs and hankies for the icky peeps.
Had a wonderful week away in Manchester only overshadowed by the fact that me and OH have separated. We've been at each other's throats for ages now and have decided to call it a day. All amicable so far and the children have realised that we can be friends and they will not lose complete contact with either of us. Very sad as we have been going out since we were in our early teens and would have been celebrating our 30th year next year, but these things do happen.
However, I now feel happy and not irritated by all those jobs I have been asking him to do for the last few months/2 years! The fish tank was cleaned out on Sunday; the bathroom was regrouted on Monday and today I have regrouted the kitchen, so flying has commenced on a large scale
My solo project tonight was going back to Salsa which I let slip about 4 years ago and I loved every minute of it.
Now, let's see what's on the list ......
Manic Monday
15 Minutes
[STRIKE]S&S in the bathroom.
Wipe over sticky areas
Wipe the loo (different, dedicated-to-the-loo cloth for the outside)
Bleach round the bowl[/STRIKE]
30 Minutes - as above plus
[STRIKE]S&S in the kitchen
wipe over the worktops and taps
empty the bin
wipe the handles[/STRIKE]
1 hour - as above plus
run the vacuum over high traffic areas
empty all the bins
[STRIKE]peg out some washing - let it blow dry![/STRIKE]
Ruby Tuesday
Bedroom antics! Main bedroom (yours!) or one in dire need!
15 Minutes?
[STRIKE]Clear that floordrobe.[/STRIKE]
Vacuum as much of the carpet as you can easily access
30 minutes?
Dust every surface
Polish those mirrors
Dust the headboard if it's solid; vacuum it with the upolstery brush is it's padded
wipe the switches
1 whole hour
[STRIKE]Strip the bedding
get that duvet on the line outside to air in the sun[/STRIKE]
vacuum and turn your mattress
dust the skirting board
Hump Day! Wonderful wiping Wednesday
love your lounge!
15 minutes?
[STRIKE]Open windows[/STRIKE]
think about where you sit - and ensure that the most irritating/annoying/niggly area in your line of sight gets some lurrve...clear a hotspot!
30 minutes?
dust everything you possibly can
wipe those light switches and ICKY remotes and any other sticky spots
if it's a whole hour
then FULL MONTY - bring out the big guns - whatever equipment you need and tackle that floor; moving furniture if you can
don't forget the skirting board - if you've got it, it needs dusting!
Your lounge is for lounging IN and you cannot lounge in a messy, cluttered room. If you canniot deal with it in a day then start a dot to dot plan - get one area clear this week; get a second area clear next week end eventually the dots (ie clear areas) will join together (DOT-TO-DOT is pat. pending and belongs to AnWsmum!)
Pause for thought - [STRIKE]time for those of you who think there is something you would like to have a go at, that is a personal challenge for YOU to think about what that challenge is and what you would need to do to achieve it.[/STRIKE] SALSA
For the interim if you have a personal 'me mountain' to climb have a think about the steps you need to take to embark on the climb!
Not like me to do a HUGE post, is it?
Off to bed now. Night all.

Debts - Vanquis £3500 1/1/16; DFD - when I'm dead with £100,000,000+ interest  UPDATED Feb 2016 £2739.80; DFD June 2016 :j

THE GOAL IS TO HAVE NO DEBT BY THE END OF 20160 -
Thanks for the kind wellcome x
I have a genetic condition that means my joints are ridiculously loose so I fall out all over the place. Hips, shoulders etc.. So at 4 am I woke up to find I was in total and utter agony because my shoulder had come out of its rubbish socket and i was pinned to the bed... Seems funny but boy, it wasnt!
I enlisted the help of my big kids who had come for a visit to see how i was and they helped me declutter the DG playroom and we sat him in front of a Power Rangers movie while we shoved said clutter into various bags ( bin and charity) and sorted the rest of his toys into boxes. My then 20 year old ds hoovered and got the dry washing off the line for me.. I managed to make a Spag bol with 1 arm and even dished it up!
I then had the pleasure of the remote cos my dh went to camera club (yawwwnn)
Ive now escaped up to bed in case he starts telling me what he did with 16 other camera club geeks!!!
So for my first day of flying I guess I did ok! Wahoo!0/4500 -
Aww TMD such a shame, but you sound really upbeat, and I'm glad the children are ok with it too. I really hope it all stays amicable and as stress-free as possible XBossymoo

Evening everyone,
I just wanted to say thank you for all your kind wishes. Today I have decluttered a 5 hour drive to Edinburgh, eaten dinner with my sister and familyand been to a gig which was so loud, my ears are still ringing.
Tomorrow we tidy up the last few bits, deliver the wedding cake to the restaurant and have dinner with our collective families. By 11.30 on Friday morning I will be someone's missus
Worth all the stress? You betcha! xx0 -

(Sorry, deleted too much on my k1ndle and can't restore brackets!)
Yes please to Birmingham and half term, but please can we fix the date soon so that I can keep the day free? Ds 1 and family will be moving house that week so I shall be on granny duties most days.
Welcome to all newbies and return ers. Hope all afflicted with dislocation, high temp, toothache, painful joints, snot etcetera get well
Soon.
We have left the tradesmen to get on with plastering, carpentry and garden work and are now staying with dd for 2 nights. Dgs 1 said "there's something nice by your bed, granny." It was a 5-foot inflatable tyrannosaur us rex :rotfl:0 -
