Double under counter cupboard cleared out. 3 carrier bags of out of date packets etc. chucked. No help from any of the kids. DD1 has returned from enrolling at college to start cooking for her and the BF. I'm not impressed. I've retreated to watch a bit of come dine with me to see if she gets involved. She's used all the saucepans so I can't start dinner for the 6 remaining members of the family. Good thing the littlies are full up with the extortionate ice creams!0

Listy looks like this:
Monday
Wipe the loo (different, dedicated-to-the-loo cloth for the outside)
wipe over the taps
wipe the handles
run the vacuum over high traffic areas
Tuesday
Clear that floordrobe.
Vacuum as much of the carpet as you can easily access NONE REALLY
Dust every surface
Polish those mirrors
wipe the switches
vacuum and turn your mattress
dust the skirting board
Wonderful wiping Wednesday
dust everything you possibly can
wipe those light switches and ICKY remotes and any other sticky spots
bring out the big guns - whatever equipment you need and tackle that floor; moving furniture if you can
don't forget the skirting board - if you've got it, it needs dusting!
I am definitely going to have to dot-to-dot in the lounge... and my bedroom. The lounge is not so bad, but my bedroom as become  with stuff EVERYWHERE. It needs a jolly good declutter and tidy before I can dust or hoover *hangs head in shame*
I have work to do this evening, then a very early night as I'm getting the 6.30 train into London for work all day tomorrow. Then a nosh, natter & lots of laughter with Mumto5 & Alan Partridge. Ah-haaaaaaa!
Shame you couldn't make it decoperhaps we can arrange an Autumn flymeet (October half-term?) What do people think of Birmingham - ish, would this this be reasonable mid-point for most people??
Spose I'd better cook something before DD starts hassling me *If you have nothing nice to say... say nothing*"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Martin Luther King Jr0 -

First batch of lentil burger mix is salvageable, after all. *relief* It's going to need revving up in the flavour department, but that's fine. Baps proving, £s decluttered in my favourite wholefood shop and the cupboard under the front steps finished. Three drawers left over from yesterday next.
Mum to 5: I'll join you in the Dot to Dot in the bedroom and sitting room if you give me a shout when you start it, as long as it's not today. Welcome all Newbies and Returners.Better is good enough.0 -

Welcome to newbies
Dentist has given me antibiotics (500mg ones! They're massive!) as I have an infection in my tooth/jaw/gums, told me to keep taking painkillers (which are not working very well atm, but I can't take anything stronger as I'm allergic) and rest lots. So excursions this week are postponed but I'll sort a Mr A delivery out for either tomorrow or Friday which DD can help put away. I can just about stay awake atm so I'm catching up on my programs on the freeview & 'net.
DD has been glued to her laptop playing games since we got in and I've only just noticed the time so she's going to get booted off that in a minute and will do the dishes I asked her to do yesterday AND again at least 3 times today :mad: Tomorrow she's not getting the computer until she's done some flying, at least of the ironing or she won't have anything clean to wear after her bath.
Time to go shift myself into my pjs, I'm not going anywhere and we're highly unlikely to have visitorsCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Evening all,
I have failed miserably since going back to work on Tuesday:( and done very little apart from cooking tea and clearing away. I am just so tired when I get home that after tea I really can't be bothered to do anything:mad:
I have given myself a good kick up the behind, and this evening have pottered in the sitting room, hoovered and mopped the bathroom floor, so now going to have a :coffee:
I feel like somehow over the past couple of years I have lost my way a little bit and let things get out of control, that includes my home, my weight( 3 stone heavier) and generally letting myself go:mad:
But, enough is enough, and the time has come to get sorted. I want to thank you all as reading the thread always cheers me up and you are a wonderful supportive bunch:D
Sorry for sounding such a misery,(I'm not really):p
See you soon x0 -
Evening everyone. Long day at work today but I have managed to hoover and dust the room. The rest of the house is reasonably OK but could be better. I have got tomorrow morning free before I go to work again so will be flying with you I promise.
DS ready for school. Forgot to buy him a bag, have ordered one online but he could use the one he has now to begin with if it doesnt arrive on time.
Seem to have spent a fortune on last minute bits and pieces for school. Need to look at the bank balance and update my spreadsheets tomorrow if I get time.
Oh and Nicki, that sounds awful, hope you are OK. I had a gum infection once after having some work done at the dentist and it was really nasty.0 -
