And you'd be very welcome, too, Valli. I'll make you a cream tea, an extra special one for anyone that does some dusting.

Dusty It doesn't sound as though you've had a holiday at all. I hope the journey back goes smoothly and safely.
Ooh I'm in:rotfl: and joining in the safe journey wishes for Dusty
Cab I ask for the power of the flyladies to be channelled this evening please - my mum has a second viewing on her house.

We are desperate to get her moved before the winter (she's moving to be near my sister) and her estate agent has been completely useless. This is the first repeat viewing in 3 months....
'This is your dream house' vibes being sent...

Late logging on because I was cleaning bathromm *dons sunglasses* and chewing the fat with mum. She too has bought DS baked beans...he won't starve - or make many friends:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I think I will go to savers and source some cleaning wipes for his loo. And MF cloths etc. He is to have 'non abrasive' cleaner.

Can we have 'Valli's DS's dad get a conscience and contribute' vibes please?

:o Valli, has the Thursday list been there all along and I'm just rubbish 'cos I didn't sleep properly? That's why I asked if you'd forgotten something because I hadn't seen it and thought it wasn't there :o

No more late nights reading Inspector Rebus for me, then :rotfl:

    Manic Monday

For those who aren't having a bank holiday - or or who wish to fly a little

    [STRIKE]15 Minutes [/STRIKE]
30 Minutes - as above plus

    [STRIKE]S&S in the kitchen[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]wipe over the worktops and taps
    empty the bin[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]wipe the handles[/STRIKE]

1 hour - as above plus

run the vacuum over high traffic areas
    empty all the bins
peg out some washing - let it blow dry!

    Excellent extras
Start your ascent of Mount Ironmore - aim to reach base camp today!
E&W - school looms - source those sandwich boxes and bags - make sure they're clean - wipe them out and let them air dry if necessary
What about making a banana loaf (fat free; recipe on request) then slice it before freezing - add a slice to the lunchbox - it will be thawed by dinner time (or lunch if you're in the South;) and keep the sandwiches cool!

    Ruby Tuesday

Bedroom antics! Main bedroom (yours!) or one in dire need!

    15 Minutes?
    [STRIKE]Clear that floordrobe.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Vacuum as much of the carpet as you can easily access[/STRIKE]

    30 minutes?
    [STRIKE]Dust every surface [/STRIKE]
    Polish those mirrors
[STRIKE]Dust the headboard if it's solid; vacuum it with the upolstery brush is it's padded[/STRIKE]
    wipe the switches

    1 whole hour

    Strip the bedding
get that duvet on the line outside to air in the sun
    vacuum and turn your mattress
    dust the skirting board

Obviously (well I hope it's obvious!) start from the bottom of the list - the hour jobs need doing first!

    Extra challenge

pick a drawer and sort it. Lets have some order and no holey knickers, laddered tights or anything else LLA (left lying around) if it's past it's best it needs to GO!

Your bedroom should be a sanctuary; with fresh bedding, fresh air and a place of peace and pleasure...even if that pleasure is reading or just sleeping. You can't recharge your inner batteries if the charger's broken!

    Hump Day! Wonderful wiping Wednesday
    love your lounge!
    15 minutes?

    [STRIKE]Open windows[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]think about where you sit - and ensure that the most irritating/annoying/niggly area in your line of sight gets some lurrve...clear a hotspot![/STRIKE]

    30 minutes?
    dust everything you possibly can
wipe those light switches and ICKY remotes and any other sticky spots

    if it's a whole hour
then FULL MONTY - bring out the big guns - whatever equipment you need and tackle that floor; moving furniture if you can
don't forget the skirting board - if you've got it, it needs dusting!

Your lounge is for lounging IN and you cannot lounge in a messy, cluttered room. If you cannot deal with it in a day then start a dot to dot plan - get one area clear this week; get a second area clear next week end eventually the dots (ie clear areas) will join together (DOT-TO-DOT is pat. pending and belongs to AnWsmum!)

    Thrilling Thursday

    beautify the bathroom

    [STRIKE]15 minutes?
clean the bath and polish the taps
if there's a shower screen wash it down with detergant and hot water[/STRIKE]

    30 minutes
once it's washed give the shower screen a polish
scrub the loo inside and out
    buff that basin

    Got an hour?

    as above plus tap polishing
    dusting
    mirror buffing
    clean the floor[/SIZE]

    Friday's Final Flying Frenzy

    make an entrance...

    Halls, Stairs, Landing etc

    [STRIKE]15 Minutes ONLY?

    Vacuum/sweep/mop that floor
Bang the door mats against the wall (outside) - put washable mats IN THE WASHER and get them on the line[/STRIKE]

    30 minutes
Put something welcoming by the door
    - might be a bright, clean mat, flowers, a pretty plant or a polished mirror
Get some soapy water and wash the front door

    a whole hour
    dust everywhere
make sure there is nothing left lying around - your whole way should be a clear passage way not a dumping area - if it is a dumping area attack a hotspot

Extras - next weeks meal plan won't write itself
shopping list - get it up to date
end of the month looms - get September's cards ready. A VERY important flylady has a September birthdays and a son going away to Uni the same week so she will need flysupport then;)
IRONING IRONING and More ironing - or fold diligently and PUT IT AWAY!

    Sliding in quietly...

Commission-hungry estate agent vibes and rose-tinted spec buyer vibes for CY's mother's house. Fizz Wizz I hope you've been able to slow down a bit and get some rest before your big day; Happy Wedding vibes winging their way to you. And Valli's DS's dad - cough up.

I've spent the whole morning clearing some urgent paperwork and snacking on tadpoles so that they don't become frogs. *delicate belch*

I'm spending the rest of the day on a 101 Challenge. By the time OH mixes me my G&T (Plym0uth gin naturally, as I live next door to the distillery), I will have rehomed 101 pieces of gibble. There is no other way I'm going to get round to dealing with the stuff.
    Better is good enough.

    is SERIOUSLY envious.

I have been *carefully* pricing up gin lately, because the sloe gin season is almost upon us and it looks like I will be buying 'basics' gin (or similar):rotfl::rotfl:

    I LOVE a G&T, with ice & lime...
I love the smell of gin.

I think I ought to delete that, later...

I'm DEFINTELY going to Honey bear's (is glad I bagged you first!)

Rehoming 101 items took 48 minutes. How embarrassing is that? I think another 101 items are going to have to be rehomed, and this time it might take me a bit longer.

ETA: Valli, if you flap a duster round the Honey Bear House, you'll be getting a cream tea (obviously, as previously stated) at tea break, followed by a G&T when the sun goes over the yardarm (which, as it happens, is a local pub, slightly higher up the hill than we are, so it's well before sunset: Woot, as they say in the finest circles.

Plymouth make a fine sloe gin themselves, but as I picked a kilo or so myself last year on our anniversary walk, I made some myself. I chose Lid1's cheapest. Given that the flavour of the gin is completely lost in the process, honestly, anything more expensive is money down the drain. I'll save some of that for you as well, as it wasn't all finished at Chrimbo last year.
    Better is good enough.
