Lamewolf Thankyou for your advice about a trolley what a good idea.. I spoke to my son who is a Lazy Monkey and we decluttered 4 boxes to the tip this evening.. My dh came home on his motorbike and I asked him to get changed out of his gear and go to said tip... He was a bit happier once he saw a sandwich and a cuppa to have before he went.. I then put DS into car with him to declutter himself rather than make dad do it.. I had a bit of a horror moment as ds was getting rid of an old drumkit out of my posh dining room and dh faltered and said, Oh is this going to tip? I politely asked him not to ask questions but to just get in the car and get rid!!!! Amazingly he did exactly that and tomorrow I will spend the day "single handedly" sort the back room out ...
Phew so LOVE flying... ! x

If it's any help, Birmingham school half term is week commencing 28th October, so the Bull Ring may be a trifle busy.
It occurs to me that half term may not be the same everywhere... so, confirming when your half term is could be the first part of the Cunning Plan. :D I can assist with planning, interesting places and getting everyone together at New Street if you're heading over by train as it's a challenge at the moment ;)

Half term here is also week commencing 28th October. Just had a quick look on the Premier Inn website and they have £29 / £35 roooms available for most of the week in some of their Brum hotels if anyone was thinking of staying over. Will need a decision on a date soon though!

Flying was minimal today as I woke with a sore throat and appear to have developed a sort of cold / temperature thingy. Explains the excessive amount of sleeping I've done in the last day or two :o

Anyway, washing was done x 2 and a few other bits and bobs. Going to sort a box of school stuff now whilst watching Rizzoli and Isles.......

    We've been decluttering!

Under DS bed first, he had some books, he wanted to keep the alphabet set (as did I) however all but one of the rest can go :T so we reorganised toys into tubs and he's all set now, even got one empty (ready for Santa, he says ;))

Then DD room, more book sorting (my brother is I think sending some more grown up ones for her birthday :)) which went without a whimper, plus a clear of the grot shelf in her wardrobe - some half used bottles of stUff we don't need anymore, and some baby-proofing kit left over. Found a few more books and toys (previous confiscations ;)) which have been given back. We also found "Mr Goddies Book" aka the children's bible :rotfl:

Then put littlies to bed (late, as we napped earlier) and I've had a brief look in spare room cupboard and sorted 1 shelf. Found some trousers I've barely worn, and not for about a decade :o but I've always kept them carefully as they are my "if these ever fit again" trousers - and I can fasten them!!! Boy I have to breathe in some, but even so! :T plus found 2 other pairs that will fit and suitable of autumn / winter. Hurrah.

But I'm done now, and going to browse on here for a while i think.

    Night all!

I went for W!lkos in the end after going to JL, BHS & Homesense. The W!lkos bedding feels the same as the JL bedding and there was money off the W!lkos bedding too.

Looking forward to sleeping in/on it tomorrow or Saturday night

  • had a good fly with Mr Le Bon singing as I worked in kitchen before the young Skints were awake.

lots of froggy phone calls done, re work being done on my water damaged ceiling..and had a nice jaunt through one track lanes to get a petrol cap for my lawn mower, running about done for DD2 including non smoking service

quick s&s in main bathroom, swept lots of broken glass in kitchen.

Well time to get DD4 out on the landing for the night and make my bed on floor for the night!

    see you tomorrow
The cold never bothered me anyway
