My wedding dress has been delivered into the bridal shop! Woohoo. Exciting (and expensive) times! Need to organise a time during half term to go and try it on!
My hen do has been organised too! So glad I've got organised bridemaids!0 -
Another July 5th bride here! Can't believe how fast the time is disappearing and how much I still have to do... And how much still to pay for! We also have just bought a house and mortgage payments start next month so the spare money for savings is going down by about 65% eek!!
Weebit... I too hate chair covers... They make me think of the klu klux klan. Our venue has chiavarri chairs thankfully so we can have nice chairs without having to pay a fortune for ugly covers!0 -
Hey Rainbowbrite! Welcome to the thread. Time sure is whizzing past me! Feels like only weeks ago when I was declaring I had a year to go and now there are less than 6 months to go!
Booked my cake today! Not entirely decided on the design but have a couple of options! We were going to go with another company who were looking for around £350-£400 for the cake. But found a lovely girl, with beautiful cakes at a wedding fair today and she had a show offer of 3 tier cake for £250 (Which is still a scary price for a cake!) But has saved us around £100.0 -

I've booked my fitting too Jessy! Mine is on Weds 19th.
We went to church for the first time this morning too! We have to attend 10 services between now and the wedding to qualify as it's not our home parish! It was freezing this morning in the church! Hope it's warmer in there in July!0 -
Same for us, only we've been attending since last year, so aiming to go once a month between now and the big day.
My fitting isn't until 24th Feb, our half term is the week after everyone else.Debt free other than a mortgage but still always wanting to save money :j.
Busy saving for my wedding July 2014.

Hi all, I just signed up to delurk! OH and I are having our big day on July 19th. It's so close and there's still so much do to, I'm sort of having a nervous breakdown tbh! Almost everything has been a stressful nightmare and I still have 2 stone I'd like to lose, so I've not even looked at dresses.0

Welcome to the thread Carly
Do make sure you look at dresses soon, as they can take 6 months to make. I found Weight Watchers works for me to lose weight, but lots of friends have enjoyed success with Slimming World.Debt free other than a mortgage but still always wanting to save money :j.

Thanks Jessycat! I didn't want to try on dresses until I'd lost more weight because I cried the last time. Hoping I can find a sample or something second hand and just get it altered, as I assume that would save time and money?0

I’m getting married on the 12th July! It was all pretty sudden, as my Dad is moving to America for 2 years on the 1st August and I want him to be there, I don’t even have my engagement ring yet! But it has been selected and paid for, we are just waiting for my size to arrive so hopefully we should have it next week.
In fact, I’ve only told 3 people so far, as I want to wait until I have my ring!
We booked the wedding on Monday, a ceremony in the registration halls for 35, then we have hired out the top floor of a local bar / restaurant for a sit down meal for the same number, then it can hold up to 95 at night.
I can’t see myself as a Bridezilla at all tbh, but we will see what happens!0
