1 week countdown! This time next week I shall be a Mrs!!
This week has been busy sorting out the last few bits like order of service, table plan and other table decorations. Been dropping bits off to different suppliers like the cake topper etc.
Trying to decide about what to do with my nails for the day. I've bitten them my whole life but have managed to grow them so am going to have a french manicure. But can't decide what to do with my toes! I've got peep toe shoes then diamante flip flops for later. Was thinking french on toes but as I'm having going on honeymoon the week after was thinking maybe a colour might be better. The colours of the wedding are navy blue and bright pink, so could go for pink. I usually have alternating colours on my toes when I do them myself though! But navy blue nail polish isn't something I want! Not sure about all pink though! Argh!0 -
I cannot wait to have a quiet weekend! So glad I finished work yesterday.
Table plan is done.
Finalised everything with the caterers.
Designed order of service.
Finished making favours.
Collect dress on Monday.
I'm having a manicure and pedicure on Wednesday. I'm having gel polish so it lasts longer without chipping. I'm thinking pale pink as our colours are pastels.
Paint your toe nails yourself then you can easily repaint them about her colour when on honeymoon.
Looking forward to seeing your pictures MissTeach.Debt free other than a mortgage but still always wanting to save money :j.

I've already booked to have an OPI gel mani/pedi so it will last a couple of weeks. Having that done on Thursday. Hoping that will then last for the honeymoon!0

I am having a bloody disastrous day!
Couldn't get the usher gifts I wanted in town today as the jewellers was unexpectedly closed.
Then got back to find one of my suppliers telling me the fairy light table skirts I'd ordered were no longer available as the last wedding spilt water on them and they are ruined. They offered me some crappy archway as a replacement. Guy on the phone said he couldn't source a replacement so would refund me. Luckily managed to find another supplier on line who were amazing and have got them ready for me to collect tomorrow!
Then had another person drop out. That takes it to 4 costing us a fortune that we have now lost.
Just had an email from the organist telling me her husband is in hospital so she can no longer do Saturday. She has kindly passed it on to someone else, but I've not met them and discussed the music so feel stressed!
And yesterday we had a conference call with the photographer to discuss shots we wanted and he's just generally a bit annoying! He will come over to mine but has to leave before I've got my dress on to get over to the venue. Then he was rude about us not leaving him enough time for photos (despite him having 1.5 hours!!) so we have had to push our wedding breakfast back by 30 mins.
Argh! I realise that is nothing too major but I just feel stressed!0 -
Feel your pain, but the day will be lovely regardless, don't let all that ruin it too much for you. I fretted over the choice of my walk in music for ages, and on the day it went wrong but I really didn't care as much as I thought I would've; as soon as I saw OH standing there my mind was purely on him, I even fluffed my vows lol, made for a funny memory though.
I had about 20 ppl drop out due to family argument (not with us, with other members) kinda p*$$** at the time especially as we'd paid the money per head already so just told the people that were good enough to show to eat as much as they wanted (it was BBQ buffet) to try and at least use up some of the food we'd paid for.
Our photographer was ok (I won't say good until I see the piccies), but she left before I was ready as well because I wanted pictures of guests arriving and she was on her own so just had to put up with it. My mum took a zillion photos anyway so we had that bit covered, the main pictures will be of you both later, I reckon having ones taken by your family while you're getting ready will be just as good.0 -
You're right. I was just in a sulk yesterday!
Picked up replacement table skirts today. God bless the replacement company! Fab service from them!
Families are rubbish aren't they! My aunt/uncle/cousins on my dad's side are not coming as they fell out with my dad many years ago. Gutted.0 -
Phew wedding all over! It was a really wonderful day. Before the wedding I really thought the whole 'best day of your life' thing was just a cheesy cliche but I can't remember feeling happier. It's just a shame it was so hot. The reception venue didn't have working air conditioning so I was blisteringly hot. So much so, a few people had to leave early.
I also have some cringe-worthy anecdotes to pull out in the future about some of my husbands family!!!0 -
Congratulations guys! Can't believe it's over!
It was an extremely hot day - hope we don't look too sweaty in the photos! My husband (whoop!) was melting in the church! We haven't seen many pics apart from a few uploaded on facebook but here are a couple! Would love to see some pics of your big days too!0 -
MissTeach, you look beautiful! A huge congratulations to you and your new husband. I adore your wedding dress. Sorry to hear about your stresses the days before. I didn't get online prior to our wedding with last minute preparations. You do not look sweaty at all!
Our wedding was perfect from start to finish. I was so hot in church though but we were so lucky with the weather. I just can't believe it's all over now. We got back from honeymoon yesterday, serious blues today.Debt free other than a mortgage but still always wanting to save money :j.
