EmmaJP - get yourself on Pinterest, loads of ideas on there :D
Debt free other than a mortgage but still always wanting to save money :j.

Busy saving for my wedding July 2014 :o.
  • Any ideas for save the dates or the wedding emmaJP? We phoned everyone so no idea about save the dates :D but loads of people have used vista print offers if that helps?

Any suggestions ladies (and mr-SS!), I want to sort as much as possible before I go back to work next year, but what do I need to organise? Can't do outfits due to two of us wanting to lose weight and the others put it on (well they are currently nearly 3 and 7 months so would be wrong if they didn't!) but other than ring I'm feeling a bit stumped.

Our venue includes accommodation for most of the guests, most of the flowers (and they will do the rest when I decide what I want), and also all food for the weekend and house wine, have photographer and cake maker (BIL and sis). S what else do I need?!

missTeach I like my hair down better too but am considering about the fact that it'll be July and potentially hot? Therefore considering going for a loose up do? (Pinned up curls type of thing).
  • Take me off the list for July - my mum was having major accommodation finding issues (either not available or stupidly expensive due to the Commonwealth Games), so looks like we may reschedule for August

Yeah, the heat is making question my choices! My hair is very thick! I don't like my hair up though, so will have to find something that keeps it out of my face but is still down!

Think I finally found some flat shoes! What a chore though! I seem to have been to every shoe shop in a 20 mile radius and nothing! Trawled hundred of websites and finally found some to fit my fat feet! They better fit when they arrive!

Am struggling with honeymoons though! OH thought we were probably looking at about £4000 for the honeymoon. We initially wanted the Maldives but have discovered it will be monsoon season in August so we don't want to risk it. We therefore don't know where to go now! Then we thought caribbean but it will be hurricane season! So now I just don't have a clue!
Possibilities are Tahiti and her islands (I'm a little bit in love with Bora Bora!) Mauritius, Seychelles, Hawaii. We are also toying with the idea of a twin centre honeymoon, we love the idea of new york but don't know whether to keep that for a separate holiday as there is so much we want to see/do there. Plus, I'm not sure if that even works with any of those destinations! Argh.
And most of the places I've looked at are above this budget. Better get saving some more!

  • hello everyone, can i join in please.

Yes of course you can, and welcome :j I'm on a diet too for my dress, hoping to lose enough weight to try some on in October.

EmmaJP, there's a thread on here for some free Save the Dates, but I think you need to buy invites on there to get them free.

Alternatively, there are some nice cheap ones on eBay, worth a search.

I am totally on the wrong forum here! On the other hand though the MSE website has saved me money so I can afford the wedding I want!
