    Sorry. Meant GMB.

For individual opting out: A form of exemption notice can be obtained by or on behalf of any member either by application at, or by post from, the Head Office or any Branch Office of the Union or from the:

Certification Office for Trade Unions and Employers’ Associations,
    22nd Floor, Euston Tower,
    286 Euston Road,
    London NW1 3JJ.

Also if you felt strongly that the union as a whole should not contribute to the Labour Party you could have proposed a motion with branch support at regional or national level for members to vote on. Not sure you would get much support from other members for this though!

Are your union against open immigration which it is generally agreed has forced down wages for low and unskilled workers?

I'm not sure it has a stated policy on immigration in general.

There are issues that impact particularly on migrant workers and unions (including mine) campaign to ensure these workers are aware of their rights and able to access support at work (as they do for all members).

He's in a job where he spends quite a bit of time sitting in a car waiting for a doctor while doing nothing. You think that should earn more than sitting at a checkout or pushing a hospital trolley?

i havent said i should be paid more or less than anyone else
What should be the going rate for sitting around, exactly?

in a sane world it will be no more or no less than it was last year

will the economy ever recover if the bottom half of society are made poorer and poorer?

its no good the rich getting all the payrises, they wont spend any of their increase anyway
