good luck with the plastering
despite being out of your comfort zone and maybe making a little bit of a mess, you are most definitely making memories that in months/years to come, you will look back with a wry smile and a giggleI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. Packed DS off for his final Duke of Edinburgh trek this morning. I think his back pack weighed more than he did - full of the essential packets of biscuits apparently
Managed to spend £20 just getting some bits for lunch today - not quite sure how that happened! Daily food budget down to £5.80 for the next 10 days- hmm that could be a struggle. I'm definitely going to have to up my budget for the summer months when the kids are on holiday - DS breaks up in just under 2 weeks
Two things left to pay for the holidays - hire car (which should be coming out of my CC today and taxi to and from the airport. We will be in the air this time in 4 weeks :j
Off to London later to celebrate DSS1 24th birthday - hope the sun stays out - think its going to be a heavy spend  hopefully not a heavy hangover though.
I must get the washing done before we go - Im feeling a bit lethargic - I think I'll go for a nap

Had a great time with DSS1 and his friends for his birthday in London last night. The only downside is the cost of a drink - £15 for a gin and tonic  - Total spend was around £90 although that did include travel for me and DH which was £34. It was about what I expected in terms of cost. Feeling a little thick headed this morning and definitely don't fancy cooking a roast!
Off for a bath before I pootle around doing some housework today and grabbing some sunshine whist its still here.
Daily food budget £5.12

wow that's a costly drink!! but overall, considering this, I think the total spend is a success :T so well done :beer:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. Why thank you Dobby - luckily it wasn't my round or my drink. It's very difficult to put a budget on going out in London. I could hardly not buy a round by saying I was over my budgetIt was actually the travel that was the most expensive!

Sitting out in the sunshine enjoying my mid-week mini bottle of wine after a hard day of decorating. I've finished the plastering which I must say was a success although it took a long time to do and something I don't really want to attempt again!
Four days till the end of the month and I have blown my food budget again. Working makes it very difficult for me to do a daily food run for the bargains and I don't really have the energy to cook from scratch when I get back. Plus DD and I are on a health kick so I'm buying a lot more fruit than I normally do. I need to do some more batch cooking this weekend.
My gas dd came out twice this month and when I rang up to find out they couldn't understand how it happened. I have agreed to stop next months rather than go through the process of gettting it credited into my account which takes anything from 14 days.
Holiday is all paid for now except for the taxi to and from the airport.I need to sort that out this weekend. only 3.5 weeks until we go away now :j
Off to put the washing out in the hope that it will dry before it gets dark.

Nearly the end of the month - thankfully. I seem to be slipping on keeping a tight grip on my spending - mainly the food budget. I've been so tired after work that I've bought a few meals rather than making them - a little cross with myself. Definitely need to get back on track next month.
Hot water broke down this morning - luckily one of the benefits of renting is that you ring the letting agent and someone comes round to fix it without any cost to usHopefully it will be fixed by tonight.
Went to my first ever yoga class this morning - a friend of mine has just qualified as a teacher and is giving some free lessons to help her with her teaching technique - I can officially say I am now crippled! On top of that I went for a run afterwards - something I haven't done for about 8 years - in fact I think it's been about that long since I did any form of exercise  When I say run I managed a mile circuit part of which I had to walk - at least the only way is upI am determined to get fit again before I'm into my 50's
Off to lunch with my bezzie :j
