Arts and crafts houses are beautiful. You should take some discrete (i.e. suitably anonymous) before and after pics for us to admire :)

Enjoy your lazy day, I'm planning a good newspaper and maybe some light fish tank maintenance.

I'm sure you will be busy getting ready for the hols so don't expect to see another post from you until you get back. Have a lovely time by the pool relaxing.

Sounds like you are doing brilliantly!

Good luck with the running. I started "Couch to 5 km " at the end of May and struggled to run for 1 minute without stopping! Now I can do 20 minutes, have entered a 5 km race at the end of this month and a 10k in November. So hang in there!

    Have a lovely holiday.

A second vote for that ;) Have fun with your cleaning/organising, I wish I could join you!

Thanks for the heads up on The Minimalists visit! I hope there are still some tickets left, I'm about to go & investigate *cross fingers* ETA: yay, I got some! :D

Just a little :T for your continued good work! I've been AWOL as well, it's been good to catch up finally :D
a penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library

A third vote for the arts and crafts house pics - suitably anon of course :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
  • Hi guys -thanks for all the lovely comments - haven't had a chance to reply yet as we only got back from Cyprus at 2.30am
Will update later after I have got through the mountain of washing. Suffice to say we had a fantastic time - extremely relaxing, lots of fun and too much food. On an MS front - I did stay in budget and even brought some euros back :D (though the budget was a very large one!)

Off to catch up on washing shopping and cooking. Savings target still on track for the end of the month. Need some sleep!

Holiday washing all done and put away and waved DD off on her trip to Spain with her friend's family. Feeling very lethargic today - in need of another holiday ;)

Caught up with the finances - spent a small fortune the day before we went away. Never take your daughter shopping with you for a few last minute bits and pieces!

Not much else to report. Off to clean and declutter tomorrow. If I work out how I will post a few photos! I have a few more days of decorating to do over the next week or two but hoping that will soon come to an end for a month or so.

Thanks DB - had a great time - the villa and the views were stunning, got to see my dad and his wife as well as they live over there. Also popped over to the Turkish part of Cyprus to see some friends who happened to be there. Finding it difficult to get back into the routine of things though.
