Another NSD although account now £450 overdrawn because £300 savings came out and I don't get paid until tomorrow.

Work good and bad, good because we hired the person we wanted and she only has to give one weeks notice. That is a relief but obviously will need training and I shall miss the hands on training I have been doing.

Team now complete but loosing a long standing volunteer who's going to university. Also told off for something I said in the training on Monday I did apologise and I think he was fine about it. I probably reacted too strongly but he was being negative. Got another trainees signed off just hope he doesn't get a job now.

Spritzer in the wine glass roast dinner had but have been to Zumba. Early night as didn't sleep well

New person not starting until after New Year, shame but at least she is starting and I get some help. Long week this week, my hard work was recognised by the board but still feel a bit rubbish. People are starting to ask what I am going to do once the new person ask. Total rubbish as I have so much I should do but I can't because I am doing two jobs but they don't see that.

Meeting today so won't be in the office, going with a load of people I used to work with over the years so should be nice,

Sideboard arrived totally self assembly wasn't expecting that so bits all over the lounge think it will be nice once build.

Payday was Wednesday so still looking good. Also got an offer to sell my shares in a Danish bank which I think I paid £40 for 20 years ago did do nicely before the credit crunch but then nearly went down. Now being bought out would net me over £200 which is not a bad return. Sending money for Denmark.

Cheques starting to arrive from MIL's estate.

Won a pair of gold shoes on EBay for 99p plus £5 postage lets hope they work for the Christmas do.

    Take care all

I think I would politely say that you aren't able to do your job properly because you are doing the work of two, well that's waht I would do!

Good luck with the sideboard - I bought a dressing table from Next a few months ago, which looks lovely now it is put together, but it was a serious mental workout trying to put the thing together.

Thanks Bugslet no more comments today but will definitely use that reply.

Sideboard all build and looks nice. Quite big for the space but there are also a lot of cat toys in that room which doesn't help.

Going to a meeting today so not in work until tomorrow, meeting all the other people doing the same job as me and they are really nice people so look forward to learning things and getting up to date.

Don't have to leave until 9.15am so I'm going to get a stew in the slowcooker ready for dinner tonight. Missed gym last night due to work but will go tonight. Should be home early too but not going back to work.

Friend who was meant to look at the broken window didn't come yesterday will text him and suggest he comes today.

Done some Christmas shopping but still a bit to do. Looked up trains to airport doable at £24 each plus a two mile taxi ride. Should be cheaper than parking as it's 120 miles or so to add in diesel. Never used to pay for diesel in my old job.

Anyway enough from me need to hit the shower and get the stew on.

Actually managed to catch up a bit with work yesterday despite having three meetings. My trainees are doing really well and it's nice to see them blossom. Need to get them ready for the rota so they can be useful. Supervisor meeting also went went ran it on my own, they are all really supportive and I think they can see I am trying. Soon we will have more advisers unfortunately someone always leaves cannot be helped.

Today I should hopefully signed one more off so that is another tick in the box he can now be useful. Need to help out the manager with our renovations and office replan she is doing it all on her own plus I'm running a course Friday. Think I shall have to go out for a drink after work on Friday.

Money wise things are a bit crap - to be expected really at this time of year. Will at least have money in Denmark so won't need to touch my account from the 21st Dec. so cold here cat right next to me acts like a hot water bottle.

It's great to hear that work is improving and things are going the way you want. Shame, but we aren't allowed to tie staff to their desks to stop them leaving. But the great news is that there will always be someone else along who will be just as good as the one who left. Maybe not immediately, but with support and direction they will as you say, blossom.

Money is definitely crap here as well. Desperately saving as it's the Christmas do next Friday, my opportunity to say thank you for the hard work all year. Then I am on leave until the New Year, when the audits start. Never ending battle.
Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

Owed at the end of -
    02/19 - £78,400. 04/19 - £85,000. 05/19 - £83,300. 06/19 - £78,900.
    07/19 - £77,500. 08/19 - £76,000.

Uh to audits Tahlullah but good you are saying thank you our do is Friday. Been trying on a dress for second do Friday but not looking great need a black shawl and gold shoes from EBay wrong size.

Nice night out with manager and volunteer bed at 2am then drove back home at 9am. Had a good chat about my husband they both thought he was drunk when they came here that Friday a few weeks ago. Not good I didn't notice.

Manager told me something awful about her and her husband and that she cannot talk to anyone about it but it's driving her mad. I fully understand she was drunk when she told me but I know its true I cannot do anything as she said we hardly know each other. Really feel for her but perhaps she shouldn't have told me.

My partner for the team comp tomorrow has broken her leg so might be playing on my own which is crap but heyho.

Good money news, £5000 from DH as he got his £11k inheritance so paid off Barclay card £1200, £303 to santander that leaves a bit in current account and £2500 in savings. I will need that to top up my isa in April only have £3600 by then. Think I will set up new monthly saver with First Direct for £300 as they pay 6% (currently got 8% so will be a bit extra on the £3600 when it ends in Jan.

Don't want to end up in debt again think I need to think about pots for insurance, car tax etc.

Jointly DH and I are ok got money for golf membership up front and money in holiday account so all good.

My Oman tickets are paid for so only need spending money, London hotel paid for but will need a bit for food and tickets but drinks should be free.

Feeling a bit crap so won't be long out of bed, done a bit more Christmas shopping so nearly done now.

Looking forward to the break myself Tallulah, we should be on shut down for two weeks - yay!

Aaah, hate when someone says something to you and you think, well there's nothing I can do and it's inappropriate. Unless she mentions it again, then I'd probably stay clear of the subject.

Good luck with staying out of debt, it sounds as if you have a firm footing for 2014.

Morning money shuffle completed which means I am debt free apart from the HP on my car and £160 current spending on my Santander card.

£2500 will go into savings topped up with the First Direct saver which will have £3600 in it when it matures next month. Need to find a home for it until I can stick it in next years ISA.

Could do with buying a few more Christmas presents just stocking fillers but I haven't found anything so might just leave it and see if I find anything in Denmark.

Spoke to my sister yesterday she loved the IPad cover I Sent her so that was a relief as I thought they had found something else. She finishes her exam in January but is handing in her assignment for work.

Work is going well for a change busy but manageable so must be getting better also helps we have new trainees ready on the rota. Got my first supervising session with the caseworker quite looking forward to that. Booked on a money advice supervisor course in February it's up North so flying up for the day but might stay the night before for my own sanity and pay for it myself.

Also been told I shall be supervising the current experienced case worker if our funding doesn't get increased. She is going to hate this and make my life difficult but the board and the manager wants this and think I can do it.

I am pleased they put so much faith and that I get to develop as a manager it's just going to be so busy with me doing the three month Uni course at the same time. Need to order the handbook and log in to the Uni portal plus manager told me to book time out in my work diary to study. May be able to sort that out today would be nice.

Anyway enough of my waffle I shall head to Amazon and get the book now one thing ticked off.
