Really good night out last night got home at 1am and we went out straight after work. I didn't have much to drink so could drive home but we just chatted in the pub, had some kebabs at the home of one of them and them I drove my manager home. We have a long chat in the car (she lives 5 min away) but I turned the engine off and we just chatted. Looks like someone is interested in the two roles we had advertised as they will now be combined to full time and permanent. She is quite good and I should help me a lot. We cleared the air on a few things incl the friends things and we are all good. She said some really nice things and actually I feel all is fine now.

Party is tonight at her house still not sure if we are both going DH wasn't impressed with me coming home that late last night.

Going to try and get a bit more sleep as I don't think I have had more than 5 hours max last night if even that.

Survived my first ever Halloween party really good fun and very MSE contumely 75% off so £3.50 in total.

DH didn't come so stayed with new friend and drove back this morning.

Bought some new golf shoes yesterday really expensive £169 but down to £119 however they are black and purple so perfect for Winter golf and means my nice white ones will last much longer. Kind of MSE isn't it. They are super comfy to so I shall enjoy golf more. Need some new face cream thinking of looking into the Boots offer and buy online as I cannot wait until we go to the airport.

Might need a nap DH is watching f1 which to me is so so boring.

This is turning into an expensive weekend shopping wise this is what we are looking at so far:
    Golf shoes and spikes £123
    Pants, socks and hankies M & S £38
    Drinks £6.50
    Breakfast x 2 £19
    Boots online £88

Well the Boots order I slipped one if these in which I didn't really need but I got £30 off and it gave me access to the triple points as you had to spend £60 http://www.boots.com/en/Lancome-Christmas-Beauty-Box_1365898/

I also got a perfume sample and a mascara I'm sure I can put some of it on EBay so use it as Christmas presents. Going to watch Grease now broadband too slooooooow

    Hi TG

Sounds like things are finally heading in the right direction at work for you re the interviews and getting some good feedback and clearing the air.

I was being fairly frugal despite a weekend away in MK to see some friends from a different forum, until I astepped in Jaeger....oh well, I'm sure I will get lots of use out of that jacket. Better where it a lot as it's a bit on trend rather than a classic.:o.

Bugslet us ladies do need clothes every now and then it's fact so enjoy your jacket I am sure you will get loads of wear out of it.

Boots messed up didn't deliver my entire order to the shop just the Christmas box which is nice but a lot of it will go on EBay as I really don't wear much make up.

Not going into work first thing taking a volunteer over to another town to do a presentation on Energy Best Deal. She could easily do it herself but it's the first one and manager thinks I should go. That means only e supervisor will be in the office and her and the money adviser might fight but they are both adults so lets hope they can cope until 2pm when I get back.

Looks like the money adviser didn't even get an interview for the job at the council what a shame it would have been handy to get rid of her. We are winning the war though. Didn't make it to the gym last night had to stay late as manager was helping me with some stats I don't understand.

I could have gone to the gym but I felt bad not having done the stats. Got to speak to one of the trustees tonight when I get back but hopefully I can still make it to the gym. Need to cancel my physio too.

Bank account not looking good under £200 left and three weeks to payday have got the shares money coming in and I can get cracking with EBay. So should be ok no need to spend much for the rest of this month.

Need to get up hit the shower and get ready to pick up my volunteer at 8.45 feels like a lie in though.

I love work days when you can have even an extra half hour, always feels really naughty!

Drives me nuts when staff don't get on and make an issue of it, just want to say 'it's work and not a playground, grow up', but have to try and listend and resolve the problem - grrr. Hope it's not WW3 when you get back.

At least the money adviser is wanting to leave, so with luck she will keep applying. Will there be a glowing reference to help her along, or just the standard work date type reference?

Oh she would get a glowing one problem is everyone who is s money adviser knows everyone and people just swapped jobs between organisations. She is very good technically but not a nice person or a team player and most people know that. I am surprised she didn't even get an interview unless they wanted someone with more benefit than money/housing experience.

Got to get a move on now leaving in 20 min

Glad that working week is over and done with and it had a nice ending with drinks in the pub and takeaway at friends house, home at 10.30pm so sensible as well.

Got 1 og DHs birthday presents not a clue what else to get him and its on Thursday.

Been into town got my poppy and banked my shares cheque we got £1000 after commission that's a £500 gain in 10 years plus there has been a few lower dividends as well.

Only for rubbish Danish bank shares left now but happy with my stocks and shares ISA.

Bank account obviously looking good but will pay off both credit cards plus possible some off the 0% one.

Also used my Bodyshop Groupon voucher got £30 for £15 plus a love your body card for free. Need to do some EBay listing and a bit of banking on the old PC.

Hope you are all enjoying your Saturday.

Money shuffle done left £500 in current account for now
£250 paid off Santander CC £250 will be cleared by expenses
£200 paid off Tesco £0 left

£1415 left on Barclay card but may well clear more once cheque actually clears.

Three items listed as buy it now on EBay from the Lancôme gift set should clear £40 after fees & postage which means the rest have cost me £10 and that incl make up remover, 2x mascara, trio of eye shadow, lipstick and perfume.

I have been invited to a posh ball in London by my new friends it's a works do so cost nothing just need to pay for travel and hotel. Got my free £72 towards hotels.com so shouldn't be too bad.

As I am on the PC thought I would post a picture of a MSE project I have just finished.

This bed was fine when they were small but not now so my friend made the metal frame bigger but I never got around to sorting the cover out. This fabric was free as it was on a bed they refused to sleep on. Didnt actually take long and I think it looks nice. You can just about see their large cat tree next to it.

    Expensive afternoon
£199 on DH birth day present but that was for a Driver he really wanted. Even better it came with a free utility club so I said to the man in the shop can we have a right handed one please for me. Yes no problem so actually only spent £100 on DH.

Nearly finished making loads of cottage pie for dinner and freezer also sorted frezer out (I do have 3) emptied one, one now has ready meals and fruit the other all the rest neatly labelled so I know whats in it.

List on the door to cross things off and I hope that will save some money on shopping and make for better meal planning.

Also done a bit of gardening, sorted the bathroom cabinet and tidied under the stairs.

Also went for a long walk around the creek where we live stopping to sign up for the matches at the club and also have a snoop at a new hotel/pub opening next week. Its really close to here so walking distance. It looks lovely hopefully wont be super expensive.

Anyway just thought you might like another picture of the boys I dont think I posted it last time.
