T There was four of us, learned one is on her fourth marriage and looks like he is cheating. Prev been subjected to domestic violence and drunken husbands, wow I thought how different am I at least I only have to cope with the drinking and only had one husband.

Another one have a drunk brother and a husband who gambled £300,000 away and has now left her for a younger model also all sorts of other horrors. Almost got too much for me but these people are such nice genuine people.

Done a bit of gardening today DH been to Makro via the pub possibly eventhough he deny it. I think he was ok yesterday but he had gone to bed by the time I got home. Today we got the party so we shall see hopefully he will just walk home and I Can stay if I want too.

Finance wise payday Wednesday £220 overdrawn and a credit card bill of £250 for next month. Had to put a couple of hundred on my card for next month but will get that back in expenses.

Need to go to the post office and bank but I think it might have to wait until Monday so lazy today.

Oh heck, some people have no luck, or is she drawn to bad boys? My OH had an affair after 19 years with a danish woman ( a shortgirl:p). No match for Yorkshire woman:rotfl:

As for gambling 300k away....did she not notice?

How possibly back via the pub? Do you think you will arrive at a time when he can say he hasn't been to the pub and you are a 100% comfortable? I guess that fact that he is trying is making you feel more comfortable.

That sounds like a long day you have on there, I hope it gets better once the new staff are in place and can take some of the workload off you.

I didn't really want the details I think she knew but still supported him. The one with the four husbands was off to celebrate their anniversary tonight he had forgotten but then again she suspect him of having an affair. Not great is it.

I hope I can trust him I think he is trying to make a difference he is right now getting his fourth beer out of the fridge but he is also off to bed soon. We shall see.

We have two jobs out to advert and no applicants so far really not good. We have one person start today and she seems fine but one more might well leave, heyho had a chat with manager today and she says it's definitely not my fault everyone is leaving or hers just individual circumstances.

Even when everyone tells me that there are no jobs to apply for, I can never get any quality applications.

Good luck with the recruitmentment process. Hope you get some good applicants and they decide to stay.

Glad we are not the only ones that don't get any applicants. Nearly had a meltdown at work when we were one supervisor short and one receptionist so I had to try and cover both as well as have two trainees settle in. Manager was busy with new paid staff member. Things did get better as we did our training session and I managed to run the new volunteer recruitment session. Only two out of eight turned up after I had personally spoken to all of them only last week. Never mind.

Manager did say to me last night that I am doing fine I cannot do any more and not to be so hard on myself. I do appreciate that but I also panic sometimes. She said some other odd things but I think that was just her like I wouldn't take you out for a drink if you were not doing ok. Well we are now kind of friends. Maybe she is struggling with the division which I thought was working well. Never mind I shall ignore that she is quite stressed out herself and I am some help so that is good.

Today should be better as long as paid supervisor is back and I can hopefully catch up. Hopefully BIL and SIL will be coming down at some point might not find out when until they are actually here but house looks ok so that will have to do.

Yes, I agree with you, it is a strange thing for your manager to say. Implying that she accepts you as her friend and will go out for a drink with you because you are doing a good job. The question is what she will do if you have a period of bad luck? Like most of us do. Work comes in cycles, everything goes well, and then everything goes pear shaped. I hope your friendship is solid enough for her not to react negatively if it happens.

Remember how far you have travelled from starting your job to this point. Look at how you can rise to a challenge and still meet the expectations of your manager, your colleagues and your vols; even when you were not expecting it.

You have done fantastically and will continue to grow and gain confidence. I wish you the best and have high hopes that you may one day have aspirations of running your own bux. Scarey thought now perhaps, but not in a years time!

Today had been a nice day at work manager away and supervisor doesn't work Fridays so just me and one other paid member of staff who is normally difficult. Volunteers were stars ran the morning session all on their own I had to so some recruitment of new volunteers. Not that busy actually and had time to mess about with twitter this afternoon with one of the volunteers. Got some work done and had to stay late as a solicitor were seeing a client. This lady is friends with my manager but I have been out with her as well. Ended up in the pub the two of use after work, then back to hers for coffee and just got in. Lovely evening she is so nice and I really like her.

Got six people for dinner tomorrow and people staying over so stuff to do but all cool look forward to seeing everyone.

Morning hope you all survived the storm we were ok but my mum in Denmark really had it bad. She lost the roof of her large carport and tools shed just seen the video of it flying off her greenhouse also lost ten panes.

I survived Monday without my manager actually the volunteers were fantastic as always. Wish we had more volunteer supervisor. I have to sort out the trainees as the person who left really didn't do a good job problem is I have never had to look after generalist adviser trainees only the gateway ones but I a learning fast and meeting someone on Monday so get some pointers.

Going on a Petra course today really don't want to go but out it volunteer is coming as well and hopefully he will pick it up easier than me. It's at the small bureau I got my first job in cab back in 1996 so will be fun to see it all again. I have been back since but that was years ago and it actually doesn't sound like much have changed. I had such a good time at that bureau and I did my training there.

Manager is back so all is ok with work we have had some interest in the two posts and our new admin person can start two weeks earlier so that is super good news.

Bank account still looks healthy but DD's coming out tomorrow.

Just about to do some money shuffling online but my PC and broadband is on a go slow so using IPad to kill time so to speak.

Going to be a good month this month I know it as I will be frugal and I didn't start the month too much in the red. Also had a nice letter from Prudential they are doing a special offer on selling my old Egg shares, we each bought 69 shares for £500 and over the years got dividends and extra shares so we now have 81 each and the sale price is around £12.40 with 35p commission per share. Both signed up for that so that should be £1000 each in time for Christmas. I am going to try to save some of it to build up pots for my annual bills and clear some of my credit card debt on 0%.

Other cost will be new pane in the roof for my greenhouse sadly the storm damaged it. Not sure if a branch hit or something. Don't think you can get spares but hopefully a glazier can cut a new pane.

Got interviews for new volunteers today (a first for me on the other side) two trainee meetings and a planning meeting for some debt advice training. Then we are 1 supervisor short all day so if we are busy who knows what will happen guess we will all muck in.

Going to a Halloween party at my managers house on Saturday and really must talk to her about time etc as it's a while since she invited me. DH is also invited not sure he really wants to come not sure really want to dress up.

PC still so so slow might give up and go to work but the monthly money shuffle is joy for all us MFW isn't it.
