Hi Ali-OK, thank you for your comments. I was thinking crumble with the blackberries too, actually it's the only sweet I know how to make! DS has had second thoughts about the gym now, which is a bit disappointing.
Today I got a stash of food samples at work, they will come in very handy.
Spends included 80p for a sausage butty for breakfast at work, as I was in early today @ 7am, impressive when I have an hours commute too! We have a very good and well subsidized canteen at work, unfortunately we are moving offices in January and won't have access to it.
Also 45p for a loaf of bread and £55.34 on fuel
I decided to get my brother a slow cooker from Aldi for his birthday, no idea if he'll like it, but he does cook and he's very frugal, so I hope so, that was £12.99, but comes out of my gift budget. I'm still deciding whether to get one for myself.
Tomorrow will be expensive, DS needs new underwear, I've no idea how he manages to get through so much, I think there's something under his bed that eats it!
We're off to a bizzare caberet evening, and I'm getting the tickets for bros birthday, and then they'll be drinks of course...- Spends: £56.59
- Remaining dosh till payday: £362.77
- Extra Cash raised: £free food
- Exercise: mmmmm

Pleased to hear that your drive is finally finished. Good tradesman are like gold dust!
Noted your comments in your earlier post about Your cleaner. My DD lives in your neck of the woods and has the same problem. Wonder if you've got the same cleaner!😄

Hi seasidegal, lol, yes maybe we share the same cleaner, although talking to other people it seems to be the local standard. Anyway it was still wonderful to get home from a few days away this week to a clean shiny house.
It's payday YAAAAY, debs reduced immediately by £354, once again I drop below the magic £5k mark :T(couldhavebeendebtfreebynowifitwasntfornastydrivemanNODONTGOTHERE)
The feeling was so good I had to do it twice :rotfl:
I also seem to have reached the end of the month with a couple of hundred left from my budget, I'm not sure quite how I managed that but it's all good. So I will be able to pay off a bit more come monday.
I was a bit naughty yesterday, ate lunch out (baked potato and beans in the staff canteen 80p, and a lime and soda at a new club I joined 75p) see you can have fun on a budget!
Have definitely kicked the dating into touch and broadening my social life. I went to a local book club for the first time last night, it sounds a bit boring, but what a laugh we had, and what a lovely bunch of women. I've found some new friends :T
I'm having a lazy day off today, time to play with my new toy, yes I have bought a slowcooker finally, I just need some recipes now...Pay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022

Sunday and a no spend day too :T
The whole weekend virtually has been spent working on my websites and youtube channel, as I've done very little over the summer, and I need to keep the snow ball rolling!
The slower cooker has come into it's own this weekend, with carrot soup and slow cooked pork, very good.
I did go out on a 20 mile bike ride with a new friend, the weather was gorgeous, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. it made a nice change from laying horizontal on the sofa with my lap top.
I think that's about all to report for now, I hope you had a lovely weekend xPay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022

Well the only thing I've spent money on so far this week is some deodorant for £2.20.
I am also doing really well with shampoo/conditioner and shower gel, having used hotel miniatures all year the only thing I've need to buy was some conditioner for £1.99 :j
Now the exiting achievement for today is that I have just checked my noddle credit report and it says my credit rating is 5/5 :j:j
I need to close some accounts really, as it stands at the moment I have £26k of credit available to me on cards, isn't that just so ridiculous??!!

Barclay card have increased my credit limit again, if we keep going at this rate, I'll have enough credit for a small house :rotfl:
Well haven't I just had the best weekend ever, and very frugal it was too. 19 women with a hostel to ourselves in the middle of nowhere in the lakes.
Lots of walking and chitchat. I met some really lovely people. The whole weekend cast £20 and that included food, the only extra was fuel money getting there and 2 bottles of wine. It was probably cheaper than staying at home!! And there was loads of food left over at the end so I came back with a large bag. I don't think I will be able to walk tomorrow, my legs are stiffening up already.
I have just spent £28 on Christmas cards  They are designed by a good friend of mine, and are lovely, so I feel I'm supporting her business, I did ask her if she was doing Christmas cards, so I could hardly not buy some when she fulfilled my request!
Pretty impressed to see that since I switched my current account I've been credited with £1.45 interest
Both current accounts are well stocked, although the savings are a little depleted, and the freezer is full. Things seem strangely under control, I keep thinking that I'm missing something !!
Hope you had a suitably frugal weekend too xPay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022

I was quite correct, I could barely walk today, I had to catch a train and climb up like 1000 stairs, like a cripple.
Still breakfast and lunch on expenses, and 50 miles saved commuting as the train station is much closer than work.
Today's spend was 45p on a loaf of bread

A no spend day today, and I'm working away for a few days. Only the hotel I'm staying at is fully booked for tomorrow so I have to move hotels which is a bit of pain. Hopefully the one tomorrow will have free toiletries, because they're all bolted to the wall in this hotel!
I've come up with a cunning plan, I'm going to ask HR if I would be eligible for a car allowance, I did nearly 10,000 business miles last year. If so I'll work out whether I'd be better off with the allowance or claiming mileage.
I have discovered a flaw with over payments - if I make extra payments off my credit cards it automatically skips the direct debit, which means I don't fulfill the '2 monthly direct debits' criteria on my Halifax rewards card - boo - I need another plan.
Had a good conversation with DD tonight, she's just booked a holiday with some friends - to Amsterdam :eek:Pay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022

Can you make your overpayment the day after the direct debit is taken?
Jealous of DD, one of my places to visit when I'm debt free is Amsterdam.
Hope the new hotel is nice and has lots of pinch able toiletries. How about sticking some empty bottles in your case next time you go away. You can then decant the bolted toiletries into them if necessary.
