Yey, got everything on my list done today. Feeling much more focused now :T
Quite a spendy day - £50.81 that included
£2 to son for snacks when he was out. I haven't seen him since lunch time!
£2 car parking - cheapest in York
£2 to hoover car at garage - yes I could use my own hoover but the garage one is about 50 times better
£19.42 in Aldi
£11.40 in Costa with DD
£9.99 on bike puncture repair gunk incase we get punctures tomorrow. You just squirt it in the tyre, better that trying to repair it on the side of the road
£4 bag of spuds from the farm shop
It was good quality time with DD so worth the money, and later I took her out driving.
Tea was sausage casserole with yellow sticker 19p sausages out of the freezer.
I have decided to go on the camping weekend. I don't have many friends and need a social life, it's not money wasted on tat I don't need, but on doing outdoor stuff with a cool group of people. I suppose I should add the £30 deposit paid to the above making my spends to day £80.81. However, I do now have to find another £20 to pay the rent this month without raiding the Xmas pressy fund.
Tomorrows tea is in the oven, pork shoulder from Aldi £2.89 which I'm cooking slowly with a rub of half salt, dark brown sugar and paprika. I think next time though I'll do 2 together and freeze one as it does take a long time in the oven.

Thanks Seasidegal58 that's a pretty impressive dent you've made in your debts, well done. :T
Today was an unexpected no spend day, wayhey. Plus I got through almost all my list, (although credit to DS for mowing the lawn) and some extra stuff too. :A
The pulled pork I did yesterday was super delicious, and not only did tea tonight, but a couple of sarnies and my lunch tomorrow.
I made the dregs of last weeks fruit bowl into an apple and satsuma crumble, it looks pretty but I haven't actually tasted it yet
The bike ride went really well, totally enjoyed it and made at least 1 new friend hopefully. We're going again next week, and will be trying for 30 miles.
My best pal dropped by for coffee too and we had a good natter and a catch up.- Spends: £0

This morning I got into work having been away last week, and casually opened up my diary only to find I was supposed to be on a training course 12 miles away in the city centre, Whoops, I had 29 minutes to hotfoot it over, park and find the venue with seconds to spare
Spent £6.14 in Aldi and £25 to DS for a new training jacket for football.
To balance it out I had a lovely affiliate payout of £93.11, and I sold my old phone for £62.50 less the large ebay fees, so a good day in all. I've paid £95 off MBNA and will keep the rest for the £20 rent shortfall and catching up with my brother this weekend.
I saw slow cookers in Aldi for £12.99 today - I was tempted, but I'm going to think about it, no rash purchases for me. :A I wonder if my bro would like a slow cooker for his birthday?!!
DS wants to join a gym, oh boy. £22 a month. Considering 2 years ago he was obese, having shot up and lost 2 stone he's a pretty fit looking young man now. Some of his friends go, and to be honest I think I'm going to shell out for it, I can think of much worse things he could be doing of an evening!
It's not about not spending money, it's about value for the money that I do spend. Do I think £5.07 a week for DS to get fit at the gym and socialise with his pals is good value for money, well yes I do actually. Certainly better value than a skinnnylatte and a sticky bun.
Do I think £40 a month for the gardener is good value for money, yes I do. Every time I pull in the drive I feel relief and think 'doesn't the garden look nice' rather than, 'my god what a mess, what must the neighbors be thinking'. The jury's out on the cleaner though
Tea was the last of the pulled pork, crikey that went a long way, and the satsuma crumble which was lovely- Spends: £31.14
- Remaining dosh till payday: £442.40
- Extra Cash raised: £149.36
- Exercise: Enthusiastic stretches :rotfl:

I really am feeling back to where I was in the spring, and that's a good thing, things that changed in the spring
- I started the whole drive debacle
- I started dating again
- The palpitations began and I went on to beta blockers
Could be the dating, and I'm off that now
Also could be the drive thing, the new chap started this week and is making a great job, hoping to be finished this week:T
What ever has changed I'm glad of it.
I went to a meditation class tonight, I bought a block of 4 earlier in the year and only used 1 so no spends there Went to Aldi and eyed up the slow cookers again.- Spends: £4.02 which included a cooked breakfast, new cheese grater, 6 pints of milk and a packet of paracetamol. Value for money ticked!
- Remaining dosh till payday: £426.26
- Extra Cash raised: 0
- Exercise: Vigorous meditation

Well what a day...
The ill fated drive was finally finished today, and how good it looked too. It only took 4 days in the end and he knocked off £237 :j what a lovely man, I've put this back in my emergency fund which I raided when I put the money aside to pay him.
When I went into the bank to get his money out, the lady said they had an offer on and I could switch my current account to one that pays 5% interest, how could I resist...
I also worked from home today so saved £10 fuel. Most of the food was left overs, went blackberry picking and was given a bag of green beans and courgettes.
Total spend today was £3.75 on fruit, as DS eats LOADS of it.- Spends: £3.75 Aldi
- Remaining dosh till payday: £426.26, and I get paid next Friday, no idea how I've managed that :A
- Extra Cash raised: £237
- Exercise: Walking with my pal to pick blackberries
I wonder what tomorrow will bring.....Pay off Car Loan £17,047 £10580 by Christmas 2022

Just catching up and things are going well for you. So pleased your drive is done and at less money too.
I think the gymn for DS is great value for money, a safe place to be with his friends and good for his health as well - I'd defo agree to that if mine asked me. He won't, he's married to his laptop still :rotfl:
Ooh are you going to make anything with the blackberries? I was given a bag of plums today, they are so sweet and way too many to eat before they go off, so thinking a plum crumble or 2 for the freezer. Just go to find out how to stew them first though :rotfl:
You sound in a good space now. Excellent news :TBack on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
