I love scatter cushions

I have loads on my sofas and also on my bed.. I also have 6 pillows
and make myself a nest to sleep in at night :rotfl:
I also love clutter and ornaments, when my darling mummy was first sick we went to a meeting at the hospice about making memory boxes to leave behind... as we drove home she turned to me and commented that we didnt need her to make one as we have a memory house

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO, What a Ride!"

It's lovely MrsE, I love the colours. My husband calls my furry cushions my square cats - I have them in a number of colours.0

Thank you I watched a decorating programme where they were doing the bedroom in chocolate box colours. So chocolate brown bit of gold & raspberry like the foil wrappers that some chocs are in (their is a 6th cushion in between the raspberry mongs, its gold silk).
The headboard reaches 1 foot from the ceiling its raspberry linen. All the sheets are white egyptian cotton though.
But apart from that EVERYTHING else is white of cream in the room. So its a dramatic bed piled high with cushions in an otherwise pale room.80 -
We have 2 cushions on the bed to lean on when reading.
2 framed wedding photos in the sitting room.
Mrs E's furry cushions in purple on the sofa and armchair.
2 candlesticks on the mantlepiece and a few church type candles in the fire grate.
In my defence I *did* spend 8 years on an interiors magazine

Ive got a cushion fetish.
Ive got 3 large cushions on my 2 seater (2 furry & 1 velvet) & 5 cushions on my 3 seater (3 furry & 2 velvet).0 -
That's my spare room, will delete the photo because it shows my name but will try and upload properly later.
It wouldn't be my choice for my room but I thought, like you say, it was tranquil and light for guests ( the room is in the basement so could otherwise be dark) they are just one of my shade of furry cushions. I've got a mahoosive headboard like you in my own bedroom.
Mrs E my cushions are a cheap, cheap, cheapie from ebay a few years ago. I was doing that room on a super budget. I'm really pleased with them, though.0 -
Glad to see other people can't stand scatter cushions. I've always thought they looked like pointless clutter. I don't like ornaments either, I know people who like to have a glass unit full of ornaments and figurines
nothing but more work to keep all that clutter clean. 0 -

Funny, I hate clutter, but I like cushions & throws , but plump nice quality cushions that you can actually use & big heavy plush throws that stay in place & dont slip about.
My ornaments are big lumps of carved wood.0 -
I hate clutter but like the odd cushion, piece of art, vase etc.
I know they're a tad pointless but need a couple of cushions to go on my bed to tie it in (very pale grey walls, feature wall behind the bed with gorgeous black and grey paper, black furniture and white bed linen with lovely green satiny bits).
Everything needs a bit of colour.
Nothing needs tonnes of tat, animal print, bunting or those silly words! If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0
