I agree with most of the comments - but nothing beats a bookcase! I have a kindle, but I would live nothing more than making one of the spare rooms into a library!

    I'm extreme I know.:(

  • I have two cushions on my bed. They are a rectangle shape, a bit like a mini bolster, and when I can,t get comfortable at night ( I have arthritis in my spine and ribs) I use these cushions under my pillow to find a comfortable height for rmy head. They are neater than extra pillows.

We've got 3 that sit on the bed, and go on the floor when we're in bed.I put them there as I think the room looks a little bland and cubic with just the bed drawers, wardrobe and tv so the cushions tend to soften it up a bit.
  • I've never seen the point of them. all you can do with them when you want to go to bed is chuck them on the floor, and then you have to pick them up guiltily in the morning so that the cushion-owner isn't offended!
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.
  • This has made me chuckle as I have thrown away 4 that sat on my bed. I got thoroughly fed up with them and it was liberating to get rid. Loved the lee Evans link so so funny.
