I have read all previous posts and now realise I am nowhere near a completion. I applied in January and am now waiting for a face to face interview I think this will be in dundee. Atos have told me I will have to wait 14 weeks to be seen. Should I phone and keep pestering them for an assessment date? I have worked for the past 30years in the same place and never claimed for anything except child benefit in my life, but this all seems to be a nightmare . I am totally out of my depth with all of this.

I live in Dundee too and never claimed anything much before. I phoned them twice a week for a cancellation. Also can you get to any of the other assessment centres, as some of them have shorter lists. (There's an ATOS list online) I offered to go to Glasgow which has only a few week waiting list. They pay travelling/petrol, so you wont be out of pocket. Let us know how you get on.

Good luck. Ask for a copy of their report. Very useful if you think of appealing :)

I have just came off the phone from Atos where I was told to wait my turn it will be between 12 and 14 weeks till I get my assessment. I tried to say that as I live between Aberdeen and Dundee either one of these would be fine for face to face
she wasn't interested she said that I had only been waiting since January and that was not long. So I think I will probably not phone again for a while I felt intimidated by her.

You probably wont get her again, I'd keep trying if you feel up to it. Or ask someone to call on your behalf
