That's brilliant news! You'll feel so relieved.

I've been absolutely knackered after the effort of my face2face on Monday but have felt some of the stress related to the long wait for the assessment reduce. Worried it'll all kick off again if I have to wait wait too long for the report then the decision...encouraging that award are being made though, at last and not before time.

thanks everyone for your support now ive calmed down id like to say that I did contact my councillor my email she forwarded my response to my mp I heard nothing from her so I sent another email directly to the mp it was rather an abrupt letter going over the same points and that I did not have confidence in her getting back to this email seen she had not responded to her own councillor.... so as you all know Thursday I asked for a callback from dwp Friday afternoon I received callback and a decision, Saturday received a letter from my mp inside her response dated Thursday saying that she has forwarded my concerns to ian Duncan smith.
the letter reads dated Wednesday (2 days before decision)
dear iain my constituent mrs ? has contacted my office regarding her ongoing pip claim.
mrs ? started her claim in October 2013 and was assessed the department received this on the 10th,at this present time she has had no response and no decision.
mrs ? wants me to clarify that her unhappiness is not directed at the amount of money that her pip claim will give her, it is the long periods of uncertainty sha has had to endure since she applied and how she has been treated over the last 31 weeks.
she has been repeatedly told the delays are due to being a new benefit however my constituent feels the delays in her application are due to mis management of the whole affair which should go through as smoothly as possible.
as you can understand mrs ? is not happy with how what she and others have been put through over such a long period of time, especially considering the money she will receive from pip will cover the extra costs associated with her condition and allow her to be independent in society. please can you confirm that your department is looking into mrs ? pip application and when a decision will be made.

i wonder if it made a difference considering just 2 days after this was typed i had a decision.

Hi Tillyfloss I would probably say it made a difference. My MP emailed on 16/05 so lets hope I hear something in next couple days. Meanwhile daily phone calls start again tomorrow think I will request a call back as well this time. Not done that yet
