Hi guys,
Just rang the DWP to double confirm they had received ALL paperwork as people have highlighted they can give false info. They are now quoting me 4-8+ weeks for a decision, not the 2 weeks they told me yesterday!!! I could have accepted this if they didnt keep changing their minds how long things would be!!!!
I am SOOOOO frustrated<!0 -
Hi guys,
another quick question (not a long essay lol). So they finally received the paper copy on monday (assessment only last week - I know this is very quick but after waiting 14 months already i am very impatient). Does anybody know how long they take to make a decision - they are saying 2 weeks on the phone from when they received the paper copy. How often should i be pestering them?
Thanks
My wife's took 5 weeks from them receiving paper copy to decision
I was phoning them weekly for the first. 2 weeks 4 times a week for the next 2 weeks then got my mp involved and decision same day he phoned them the whole thing is a farce0 -

Any joy yet Chemgeek? I just recieved a brown letter, heart started racing, but it was just a letter to say they had all the info needed & apologising for the delay :staradmin 6 weeks from Assessment to award. :staradmin0 -
In absolute shock. I was assessed by CAPITA in Nottingham and from initial phone call (5th Feb) it's only taken 6 and a half weeks! I got my results yesterday and backdated payments today! My assessor seemingly tried to give me more points than the person who checked it allowed, but I still received enhanced for both daily and mobility. I can't believe it...:jGoals for 2015:jWin £2015 in 2015: £304.08/£2015Reach goal for house depositReach 11st (4.5lbs to go)0

My daughter got unofficial turned down at PIP assessment yesterday. The nurse off the record said we may need more medical evidence.
My daughter suffers for hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy (CMT). She walks with two crutches and cant walk far and is very slow at walking. She is unable to stand long and also has a issue with her spine. She has two metal things in her legs which screwed to her bones. I took her myself in a wheelchair. She currently gets high rate mobility and low rate care. I was told I cant not speak even though she forgot to mention she suffers from cold although did say she has poor circulation.
The nurse who assessed her seemed very nice and honest and up front, she started off from start saying dont blame me blame Labour and Tories.0 -
If you get turned down on the basis of lack of medical evidence then appeal.
A medical diagnosis is not required, and if they feel more evidence is needed then its their job to chase it up. Many Doctors now days will not write letters and such for patients (especially for free) due to their workload, however they have to respond to requests from either the DWP or the tribunal service. (both will pay any fees required as well).0
