Ok I'll give you the bold type because you are blind but what's with the attitude to the other poster, you seem very aggressive
My wife is severely disabled and her pip is resolved
So why so angry and aggressive all the time
If you cannot contribute in a positive manner then don't post at all
I have reported you0 -
I realise that your disability is very severe but at least you have PIP and previously DLA. I'm on my second refusal. I too used to work in mental health until I got cancer and had a breakdown- I'm battling to survive on the little bit of ESA I get. It is very unfair I agree with you and I understand your condition- my Mum had a similar condition. There are a lot of people out there who can't even get any help and like I say yes it is very unfair and I know that you would rather be well how much worse off would you be if you were denied it completely?
I'm sorry if you think I'm being aggressive or argumentative- I don't mean to be. However I am also mightily struggling without a PIP payment and going through all the stress of trying to convince them I'm not making my disabilities up *The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -
thank you fontaine we are all suffering but most people on here are kind.nannytone the exeption. he has to bold type lucky him my daughter has to do mine.
[not that it matters, but i am a 'she'
i can't read the bold ( i use speaking software) but it enables me to recognise my last post so that i don't have to go through the whole thread every time.
zx vlv being aggressive, i can assure you that I'm not. i have aspergers syndrome and can come across as very blunt and direct.
as Mrd Ryan says ...
many people are being refuses PIP outright, and for those transferring from DLA,, if backdating were applied, would end up owing an awful lot of money if there benefit were to be lowered/taken away.
i had to fight for almost 3 years to be awarded high rate mobility DLA ( because of an un cooperative consultant ... i met the criteria)
i didn't resent the fact that it hadn't been backdated 3 years, just received that i finally had the award.
it wasn't a case that is had money taken off me during that time ... it was instead money that id never had and my outlook is that you can't miss what you haven't had!/B]0 -
Have you recieved your backpay yet and if so how long did it take. Just wondering if its straight forward or they will try and appeal tribunal decision.Hi all,
I had my appeal today at 3.15 the doctor that was part of the appeal did all the talking, very understanding he was.
I won! Got pip untill 17/07/2016
I had got pip before this appeal, but this appeal was about my mobility, as i had got standard mobility but i belive i should have got enhanced, well i do now,
The only down side is that when i first got pip it was till 2017 and now its been cut back to 07/ 2016
Good luck to everyone still waiting i hope you get pip, never give up guys, fight it all the way if you have to.0 -
Hi all, just wanted to add my 2 cents in here in case it helps anyone. I had my PIP interview yesterday (ARGH!) but I saw my assessor with CAPITA literally a week after I sent off my form. I couldn't believe how quick it was. I sent a crazy amount of hospital letters with confirmed diagnoses attached and my prescription list.
My assessor was lovely and had done his research. I have two rare conditions Hypermobility Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) as well as severe Endometriosis.
He was helpful and was outraged that I hadn't actually received a letter from CAPITA saying when my assessment was, they sent me a text!!! So keep an eye on your phones and if you're in Notts like me then hopefully your process to get an assessment will be as quick.
Also, if you go to the same place I did, watch out for the toilet doors. They're so heavy. I dislocate easily every day and dislocated my shoulder trying to get out!:jGoals for 2015:jWin £2015 in 2015: £304.08/£2015Reach goal for house depositReach 11st (4.5lbs to go)0 -
Clairebear_17 wrote: »Hi all just thought id update after I went to tribunal tuesday.
I was originallu awarded 8 points for daily (standard rate). And 4 points for mobility (no award for mobility).
I asked for reconsideration but was turned down so went tribunal Tuesday the people were lovely one said things wrong I think to maybe see if I noticed but I corrected her (maybe she does it to try trip people up).
After I explained the parts I appealed which I only mentioned daily living I didnt want to push my luck with mobility they asked us to go back to waiting room and within 10 minutes I was asked to come back in and told they had changed my claim from standard daily 8 points to enhanced daily 23 points and standard mobility 10 points. So I am so glad after 15 months its finally over.
They also mentioned they were not happy with the Way I had been treated throughout my claim.
I would urge anyone who doesn't get the result they believe they are entitled to they should go to tribunal and appeal x
Thanks for the encouragement. MY daughter was turned down for PIP despite being almost blind.
She scored 0 points in the assessment... Having checked the PIP points against her disabilities, it should be 17 at least....
What next after 6 months waiting?NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -

PIP decision came through last week; 10 Mar 15. Result was what we expected based on report of Atos interview (interview 26 Feb, report arrived 5 Mar). Initial application was 15 Dec 14 so three months from first application to first (backdated) payment. Not too bad considering how things have been in the past.0

Hi guys,
I have just turned 25 at the end of february. I applied back on the 9th January 2014!! Sent all the forms of in the date asked for. I have stills disease from childhood, hypermobile joints and kidney disease, just to mention a few. I am also dyslexic and dyspraxic. I used to have DLA until i was 16, and when it came to my time to fill in the forms I refused to. It has taken my mum all this time to get me to acknowledge I need help. So I applied, and heard NOTHING!!! After a complaint to ATOS in december, who had my form from 13th Feb 2014, I recieved an appoitment for late January this year. The office I was sent to was at Deptford - which was far too far to travel but as I had been waiting almost a year I tried to attend, despite being outside the 90 min travel zone. My landlady had taken the morning of work to make sure I got on the trains okay - but as we were leaving (literaly about to shut the door) they rung to cancel. NO appoitment offered!! And was told they didnt know when the next one would be. In a fit of tears I contacted my local MP who was disgusted and recommended I had a home assessment (I didnt want this particularly because I lodge with a family and not all the family are fully aware of my difficulties). I just wanted one closer - there is one a mere 15 minutes from my house. After the MP contacted them, they offered me one in BRIGHTON!!!!! 2 hrs from home! Anyway they cancelled that one and gave me a home assessment last wednesday. DWP received the electronic report the day after but I was told they wont even look at it until the paper one comes in. SO a mere 14 months after I applied I am still waiting and wondering how long they will take to make a decision!!0 -
Hi, I have finally received an appointment through for a home assessment. I'm so nervous. Will it just be one person doing it or will there be more? What else will happen?
Thanks xx0
