  • Hiya dunno if anyone could help! I had my assessment on the 8th January 2015 rand last week said they got all info bk on 19th Jan, so phoned yesterday and said a decision been made but not on system yet I've seen this happen few times on here, so worred . X
  • Just to update, I spoke to Citizens Advice this morning they couldn't offer up any extra information, I came home and called ESA to inform them that I have received a letter on Saturday informing me that I have been awarded Carers Allowance but that I wouldn't hear anything until March 9th,
ESA were perplexed why I rang to inform them as they already have information on the system on his claim & there is nothing else I need to do as it will be between each department.

The nearest PIP assessment centre to me is 130 miles away. Would they make me make this journey or would they send someone to assess me somewhere nearer to me?

    Thanks

My wife is now on pip but because it is paid in arrears will not get first payment until March
People who are switching from dla to pip be careful, my wife's hadher payment of dla weekly but dwp managed to wriggle out of paying her her final weeks payment of dla by saying that her dla has always been paid one week in advance even though she is not terminally ill
And pip is paid in arrears so we are in a bit of a hole at the moment
If dla was paid in advance then so should pip
Feeling robbed by the dwp and I just knew they would !!!! it up
Why couldn't they just leave the dla alone
Convinced it is a scheme to rob people
They treat disabled people like rubbish, so anybody transferring from dla to pip be careful and keep an eye on your final payment of dla

If your journey time to the assessment centre by public transport would be more than 90 minutes, the provider must offer you an alternative, which could be in your own home.
  • 5 weeks yesterday since they had the report back and nothing yet. I will call again tomorrow. Had a 5 days call back requested last week but big surprise they haven't called. Emailed my MP again and no reply from him either.

Just waiting it out, endlessly frustrated.
