Her dla stopped end of October but decision only made this week. She was on standard mobility but now having standard in both. It was a cbange over at there request. But we were told on the numerous calls we made that it would be paid back to january.0

so you think she should be paid both DLA AND PIP from january to october?
her PIP will only be paid from when the DLA stopped0 -
Wasn't sure thats why I was asking because we were told that she would be paid from when first claimed. Just wondered if anyone else knew whether should or shouldnt be. So thanks for
clarifying this for us.0 -
whoever told you that must have thought it was a new claim and not a transfer from DLA.
new claims are paid from the date of the claim.0 -
Mum had a wait of approx 44 weeks to her medical from submitting the form (Feb 24th to Jan 9th). However it was very fast after then, her decision was made on the 15th, letter arrived on the 20th, back payment arrived on the 21st.
Letter states it was awarded until 2021 I think it was. That massively surprised me!Princess Sparklepants0 -

Youngest's changeover claim for PIP from DLA (he reached 16 last year and we are in the trial area), was put in in April, they extended his award to March this year (day before his 17th birthday), found out today they have finally booked his assessment...for 26th March, the day after his 17th birthday!
Thankfully, they have said they will extend again until a decision is made.
My claim (I finally bowed down to pressure), was put in in September, no news yet but then I didn't expect anything yet anyway. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
I was wondering if anyone can calculate what the weekly income will be for us now that my husband has been awarded PIP?
Currently he receives £168 ESA it includes an amount for me as an adult dependant & it is transitionally protected as it was an automatic move from I.B.
He will be getting PIP for enhanced daily living at £81 a week.
Today I applied for carers allowance & they said if awarded to then apply for I.S. I know if I am awarded carers I will have to come off hubby's claim for ESA.
Can someone calculate what we may receive assuming I'm removed from one thing but get the other two?
Thanks0 -
is he in the WRAG or support group?0
