Sorry to hear you're having a difficult time getting some answers. Only thing i can say is ring them again but be FIRM with them and tell them you NEED some answers today! You should never have had your DLA stopped. Would be a good idea first to find out why it has stopped. Ring DLA and ask. Number should be on the top of any letter DLA have sent you. Sorry but unless you're firm with them there's not much more you can do but wait to see what your MP can do.

Hi poppy12345. Thanks i have called DLA and they said it was last payment as PIP had requested it to start payments of that. But its been nearly 6 weeks since i had the last payment. So i will just have to keep calling and see if MP does anything. Thanks for the advice

So that must mean that you've been awarded PIP? This is confusing. Sorry you're having to go through this. Hope you have it sorted soon.

 Hi all.. Does everyone who applies for pip go for an assessment or does it depend on the illness?
    TIA

Most people do yes and PIP isn't about the illness/condition, it's about how the condition affects your daily life.
  • My son got his letter today saying he was getting pip. It has actually only been two weeks since his assessment, but we have been wait since January overall. This will make a really difference to him being more independent. We are very pleased.

Just got back from my assessment - it took 90 mins, not sure if that's a good sign or not. lady was very nice, but I did feel like the questions were there to catch me out and the way she kept rephrasing them.
