Thanks shell9486 I can't really believe it, it's been a long and stressful year, I'm a bit scared it's wrong though, until I get the letter and money I will panic, I just pray this is it, they said I have it into 2017, fingers crossed xx

hi rebjen, try no to worry if thats what they told you must be right. maybe give them a quick ring and confirm it all just to put your mind at rest? doubt you need any more stress you have waited long enough like you say, if you or someone drives you around you can claim 50 percent of a tax disc and if you have someone caring for you you can get carers allowance. life will be so much easier for you now x

You are supposed to be paid your DLA until a decision has been made on the PIP, that part i do know is true! I would ring DWP and asap and see what exactly is going on tell them that you're NOT happy with your DLA stopping without a decision being made on your PIP. Also tell them you were promised a phone call but never got one. Ask to speak to someone higher up that can help you, really lay it on and don't hold back. Oh and try again to contact your MP explain everything to him/her. Good luck.

Thanks Poppy. I did say to them that dla should be paid until a decision is made and they said well its properly loose ends being tied up but its over a month now so surely something should of been done. The MP emailed me back this afternoon and he said he was waiting for them to get back to him and he would let me know by monday what they say. I have asked to speak to someone higher but always get given a load of rubbish. I will try again on monday see what happens. Thanks for info will let you know if get anywhere. Thanks again

hi i'm new to the site ,i have been reading the forum on pip , i applied for pip back in may this year , dwp recieved my application on the 16th may , they passed it over to atos on the 29th of may dwp said atos have 6 months to do my assessment , here we are 13 dec still waiting for an appointment for my assessment , phoned atos at the begining nov asked when will an apointment be through , reply just waiting for time slot to bring you in ,called again end of nov asked same question reply your still in the system theres a long wait .
Getting nowhere fast with them :mad:

Yes there's a huge backlog! but there has been news that they're trying to cut that down, however people are still waiting a year for their assessment.

Well i have phoned again about my pip what a waste of time!!! Had my assessement in july and still not heard nothing. They even asked if this is the first time i had phoned since september. Considering i phone every week. Said still nothing on screen will get someone to phone me told him ive ment yo of had four call backs and not had one even though two were complaints!!! Icontacted MP two weeks ago and had t heard back until friday last week he said he was wating for call back from them HUM dont think he be getting one. So im not sure if the Mp way is going to work. I asked for someone higher to speak to but was told they will say same to you as i did. Asked why my DLA stopped on 4th november cause not ment to until decision but didnt have an answer. Dont know where to go to from here any suggestions?????

Sorry to hear you're having a difficult time getting some answers. Only thing i can say is ring them again but be FIRM with them and tell them you NEED some answers today! You should never have had your DLA stopped. Would be a good idea first to find out why it has stopped. Ring DLA and ask. Number should be on the top of any letter DLA have sent you. Sorry but unless you're firm with them there's not much more you can do but wait to see what your MP can do.
