Escalation to get my report out of three months of auditing, I;ve had my assessment.
The whole thing is a nightmare isn't it??
  • H i 925dancer just thought i would log in and update well nothing really has changed mine is still in audit its now been in there for 21 weeks . 33 weeks in total my MP rang me on monday to say sorry for what i am going through and to say that the dwp is actually ignoring her , so she is going to try again in some other way she mentioned how but cant remember what she said . It really is getting annoying when you hear people that were seen not long ago getting they outcomes . i actually said this to Atos and they have said well each case is different and that health conditions i am aware i have a few illnesses but surely they should be done by now .:mad::mad:
  • I would be slightly more understanding if I had complex health concerns but I don't, I'm relatively simple so why it is taking so long is a complete mystery.

And then I have to go through it all again for ESA.

Can't believe you haven't heard anything yet either smudge, it's completely farcical.
  • Sorry, but just thought I'd ask again.

Did anyone get a letter similar to the one I quoted on post #193 above?
  • Hi ltcinter i haven't had anything from Atos the only time they have bothered to contact me was when i said i wanted to complain . I wouldn't be worried about them contacting your care provider as this is normal they tend to do this with most people . the reason people haven't posted about it is because its normal for doctors and specialist to be contacted by them . You don't expect them to just take our word we have illnesses and disabilities . i myself gave a lot of evidence but i suspect they will be in touch with my specialists .

hi 925dancer i know what you mean i am hoping to get this out the way soon as i have a supersession ongoing for esa so its just stress after stress .
  • My Sister made her phone claim in July. Form was sent out 3rd week of August. They had received it, along with supporting statement from her support worker etc, by 3rd week of September. Disability assessor interview 23rd December. Decision (awarded highest rate of both components) last week & backdated to July.

It was the first time she had claimed a disability benefit. She had never claimed DLA or other.

Reading through the posts it appears that some areas are better than others. She lives up in East Yorkshire.

In my role as a representative for a disability charity I am hearing the same stories from all over the UK and the struggles of those who are so obviously entitled to PIP. Get as much supporting evidence as possible as this is vital to assessors to judge validity of claims and seems to speed up the whole process.

Hope all you all get somewhere soon :)

  • hi,latest on my wifes claim is that dwp rang yesterday and apologised for delay, explaining that capita,s health assessment doctor has made a complete b---s up of my wifes assessment and need to apply to health professional doctor for more information about assessment he carried out ,so capita can sort out the discipters for dwp adjudication, but migt have problem because that person might not be working for capita any more as lots of medical assessment doctors are no longer working for them,if that happens my wife will have to have another assessment and go all through this again, which could take around 16 weeks, that would make her claim 48 weeks old,i haven,t had any further replies back from mp but what ever is going on is unbelievable,WHY is this happening, the thing that's working for capita is "no time scale" so that do as they please,my wife is thinking about calling it a day and cancelling the claim,at moment she is drugged up with drugs for depression as a result of a non caring government, hold on,my daughter has just got off the phone, apparently it was our MP,she gives her sincere apologises and states that there is nothing that she can do,the dwp are saying"if not happy get on to your mp"my mp explained who she was and was told"orders from the top are,no interfearence from outside by anyone, wat do I do next?

What a farce this is, compared to the DLA system.

The longest wait I have heard of, so far, is 10 months and still no decision....

This really needs answering in Parliament by Ann Begg and her select committee dragging Dismal Duncan Smith into it, to explain this chaos, as everything that bloke touches turns into farce.

I wish you all luck with your decisions.

This is just awful. So glad I won my DLA tribunal and haven't applied for PIP.

A little bit of good news. Rang Atos and was told my assessment had gone back to DWP on 9th January. The fact that I rang on the 11th January and they told me it was still being audited is a bit strange but never mind. At that point I was at approx. 13 weeks after being assessed. Rang DWP who say they received the assessment on the 10th of January.but are saying a decision has not been made as yet. The timescales they have given me are 14 days from receipt (Jan 24th) and a further 14 days to receive any notification. Still don't know what the decision will be but at least I am out of the audit pile. :T

You must be so relieved dizzykat, hope you hear of a positive outcome soon. After the atos palaver, 14 days seems like a day !!! Fingers crossed for you.
