When is this situation going to hit the media I wonder and how much are taxpayers paying for these incompetent health companies. Time to do something instead of sitting here feeling helpless.
But the media think everyone that claims benefits are layabout , never contributed dole sc&m , they don't care, unfortunately :mad:RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I know i'll see you again my best friend forever.

From what I've read on different forums, it seems the main cause of the problem I'd Atos/capita delays. It seems once the reports are sent to the DWP there isn't too much of a wait? I cannot believe that the DWP haven't agreed some sort of timescale for the "healthcare professionals" to return the report back to them?? What is there service level agreement, they can't just say it takes as long as it takes Fgs? It's an absolute shambles...... Mps can't even get answers, what are they for?!!!RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I know i'll see you again my best friend forever.

I can only confirm singlehouseholders statement above - ATOS took over19 weeks from assessment to finally send my report to DWP - DWP recieved the report on the 20th and had made a decision by the 24th - they even corrected an error in my decison letter within 7 days, and gave a follow up phone call to apologise for the error. DWP has a time scale of 4 weeks from eventually receiving the report to a decision being made - they are far exceeding their timescales to the majority of clients. Now ATOS seems to be holding back appointments as well, extending waiting times even more. I hope you all hear soon.0 -
19 weeks, Jesus, what on earth are they doing with the paperwork that takes that long, I mean seriously. They request info to decide whether you need a face to face, apparently, then it takes 19 weeks. I would love to know what their stinking process involves, that would make it take so long.
It's about time someone got to the bottom of it, I'm already sick of the standard script that Atos spew out when you ask what the process involves. Wish there was an insider that would care enough to spill the beans.....RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I know i'll see you again my best friend forever.

I was told it was because the reports had to meet certain standards prior to submission to DWP, any corrections or clarrification on the assessments had to done by the health professional who saw you. It is worth noting that I haven't heard of a health assessment whereby there was an actually working computer - they seem mainly to consist of note taking to your answers. Also doctors are requested to return the completed form within 5 working days of receipt. The answer lies with the contractors.0 -
Even so, it shouldn't take 19 weeks to correct any errors. My assessor totally missed one part out, so that will either be made up by her, or, have to be corrected which would probably involve another medical. It's a farce.RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I know i'll see you again my best friend forever.

But we know that's not true, why should we sit back and say nothing just because the media and public brand us as such. By doing and saying nothing we are only accepting their lies. I campaign for better Mental Health services and am used to the ignorance and stigma surrounding this issue. Will never bother me what they think of me. My husband has always worked, this is literally the first time I have tried to access a benefit of this kind. I don't feel like a scrounger. If I am entitled I should receive it. :cool:0 -

Not sure what the "British people of Great Britain" bit means, anyway....
Everyone is struggling, I am, and the people who need the help the most are being delayed the help desperately needed while appointed contractors fanny about like they have all the time in the world.
I would keep on at your mp, they should have a solution to Ids fobbing them off with such a reply, he has overall responsibility for the DWP , it is his problem!!!RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I know i'll see you again my best friend forever.
