I am the same still no further forward its now 28 weeks since i made my claim and 16 weeks since my assessment . have wrote to MP she said she would help but i haven't heard anything back from her since she said she would . i keep getting the same things as everyone its in audit and then it has been moved up and is being worked on how long does it take to work on . its so stressful and is making me worse to be honest .0

So the original phrase that "it is all being done in date order" is an obvious lie - especially when there is so much disparity between start claim dates/assessments and award notices. Would love to know if it is there computer system failing or staff unable to produce the reports accurately. There does not appear to be to much of a hold up once DWP receives the paperwork.:(0

I sent my claim in July, had an assessment in a centre over an hour away (which was really hard to get to) in November. Now Atos say my form is being audited and it will take weeks not months.
It really is a horrendous procedure, I found the assessment awful too as I am the kind of person who talks about what I can do, and tries not to focus on the negative. I have to say the health care assessors were very kind, but its so tough. They told me most people they see cry their way through the assessment.
I cant believe that the whole pip situation is being allowed to carry on, and it hasnt even really hit the news or anything.0 -

Hi Lilydog, sorry to say that once ATOS claim that your paperwork is being audited it seems to get lost in a giant pile on someones desk. At the assessment everybody is told to call after 5 weeks to check the progress, to then be told that there is no time frame. Average times are a minimum of 5 months at the moment (reading other post comments) from initially claiming. But even that appears to be getting even longer - with the excuse being that they now do not have any appointments available for the initial assessment for 4/5 months (again referring to previous posts). I am just hopeful that there might be some Christmas spirit left at ATOS and they pull their fingers out of their b*** and put peoples minds at rest before next week. There is a ask ATOS rep questions thread on these forums - so they must be aware of these posts - it is a pity that the general public is not aware of the abysmal saga that this PIP has become. My final point is - after all this length of time waiting - we then all get declined - are they waiting till we all suddenly and miraculously get better immediately. No-one would put themselves through this process for fun. My fingers are crossed for you.0 -
We are now at 22 nearly 23 weeks and 11 weeks since the assessment.
Guess what go on bet you cant.............
OH called 3 weeks ago told oh we are looking at it right now so it will go over to DWP very shortly. OH called yesterday and was told oh we are looking at it right now so it will go over to the DWP shortly.
I have sent an email to IDS, MP, and Cameron had enough I am close to exploding and my OH is distraught and threatening suicide.
If I get no response before Christmas I am wondering whether we should all get together and put together a case as there must be a duty of care issue.0 -
I am well an truly p......d off been told on phone today I haven't got an award and the case manager will ring me before 8th Jan to explain why. Forth time of trying now and if I wasn't ill I wouldn't be applying for this bloody benefit. Four bloody months and they say no. I cant touch food cos of severe allergies, how the hell am I suppose to cook for myself, am depressed have attempted suicide before three times and have chronic fstigue and my OH has to do practically everything for me but yet I am still not entitled. bloody farce so annoyed hope you all get better news soon0

I am getting exactly the same response as you, including "it has been escalated to the managers to speed it up", but that just seems to be the new response. It was escalated over 10 days ago, but has still not made it to DWP. As for duty of care - ATOS obviously do not see it that way, and no-body else seems to care. My MP has written to DWP and ATOS, over 6 weeks ago, and they haven't even bothered to reply yet. So what hope do us mere mortals have.I am well an truly p......d off been told on phone today I haven't got an award and the case manager will ring me before 8th Jan to explain why. Sorry to hear of your disappointment, it is wicked to keep you waiting so long to just telephone you with a blunt no, and no further information for you till after the new year. You have the right to ask for the decision maker to look at it again - before progressing to appeal - when phoning ask for a copy of your assessment report from ATOS. Good Luck.0 -
I got it! I have been following but not joining in with this thread thus far, but wanted to give you all hope that they are finally responding (I was planning to post in this vein even if I were rejected iykwim).
Claim submitted 11 June 2013
Medical with Capita 08 August 2013
Allegedly passed from Capita to DWP 04 December 2013
Response received from DWO 23 December 2013
Good luck to each and every one of you that you receive responses soon, I know just how stressful it is.0 -
Well, as suspected, I have yet to receive my call back from the apparently nice lady at ATOS. So I'm still being audited despite the escalation. We'll be well into the new year and on month six since applying before I get a decision then!
Interestingly, I'm receiving a DHP, which I was never given an expiry on due to my waiting for a PIP decision but when my MP got involved after being messed about for four months by the council, they have said it ends on 12th January when it will be reviewed again unless I've had a decision. That date doesn't correspond with anything, not rent day, payment day, application day, decision day. So I wonder if the DWP have told the council something they haven't told me.......
All paranoid speculation of course!0
