Anyone would think the money was coming out of the Case Manager's wages.."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

Made original claim on line for DLA 19/4/2013 status processing until June 10th 2013 then disappeared from Government Gateway Account. Rang DLA who said claim never existed, wrote a complaint including the claim reference number issued on completion of on line app. Email from DLA sorry you should have applied for PIP as you live in the pilot area? how were we supposed to know? claim form sent for PIP, received completed and posted with a new claim date of 18/6/2013 which is what they state has to be because it was my fault I applied for the wrong benefit.
Assessment with ATOS 10/08/2013 told to call DWP after 5 weeks, did this to be told it was with Atos Auditor and I would be luck to get a decision before the new year.:mad:0 -
I am into my 24th week of claim for PIP and still haven't had a outcome yet when i ring i just keep getting told its in the audit . the beginning of this week i ask to speak to someone that could explain why it was taking so long in audit as its been in there for 13 weeks now . she wouldn't give me any one but said that its to do with the different types of illnesses i have . i wasn't impressed so have now been in touch with my MP . My MP has been back in touch with me and is going to take my case on for me . just hope something happens soon its is so stressful just not knowing0

I can imagine many people would like a decision before Christmas to go into the new year with a more relaxed financial attitude rather than worrying. I'm waiting for my ESA decision after having my ESA assessment a month ago.
Last time I rang them over a week ago they said the report still hasn't come back from Atos yet, is this a normal procedure or should I be concerned?
They told me it can take up to 3 months to get a decision. I'm losing hope at getting it before Christmas, probably looking at January/February time, maybe even March.. the worrying is killing me they have no idea how much stress they are putting so many people through, or maybe they don't care how can you plan for the future when you don't know what money you will get in a few months time!?0 -
Hi All, just found a link on a forum used by disability benefit advisers - although it only really mentions DLA and AA, obviously PIP must be included in there some where. The headline reads: "CIVIL SERVANTS TOLD TO JUDGE WHETHER DISABLED DESERVE BENEFITS BY GOOGLEING THEIR ILLNESSES" - 'Leaked memo reveals Department for Work and Pensions staff were instructed to look online when assessing DLA and AA claims'. I have copied the link below so you can read the full article. You couldn't make it up!!

My husband has been awarded the enhanced rate and the mobility component backdated to the date of his application - October 17th. I thought it was awarded back to the date of his terminal diagnosis which was September 19th. Am I right or are they?"If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0
