I rang them again about 20minutes ago and was told exactly the same thing, o asked if there was anyone else I can talk to and told no except if I requested a five day call back, which I declined. He did agree that it shouldn't be taking so long but then tells me I need to be patient as they are having to deal with thousands. I'm really fed up with it all now.
If you're kept waiting much longer you should consider contacting your local MP and see if he/she can help. I contacted mine and he helped by contacting ATOS then DWP, it certainly helped speed things up that's for sure! If not then keep ring PIP daily.

    Hi
Had my assessment today, it wasnt as bad I had expected it to be, Ive not slept in days leading up to the appointment at all and really struggled to speak to her, she could see how distressed I was and said she rushed the appointment and said she would write the rest once I had gone due to me being very distressed during the appointment.
Im really unsure of how it went to be honest, my mind really wasnt on it today and I tried to tell her how I felt and that I receive a lot of help on a day to day basis with every thing, with each question she asked she seemed to understand and help me with my answers.
What can I expect now? anyone know when Im likely to hear from them? I really just want it done with, it has caused me so much stress and worry this last 6 month, which is not helping me with my illness, I really just want to stop my head spinning with thinking about whats next in line for me.

    Hi,
If the assessment provider sends your report back to DWP quickly then hopefully you shouldn't have to wait too long for a decision. Waiting times vary but the decision maker can't do anything until they receive your report back. I waited 2 weeks for a decision after my assessment. ATOS sent my report back to DWP the following day. I know the waiting game is very stressful. Leave it 2 weeks the ring PIP DWP and ask if a decision has been made. Good luck.

Assessment providers are not always truthful. DWP need to receive both copies before it goes to the decision maker. I'd leave it 2/3 weeks then ring PIP to see if they've made a decision.

I can't trawl the 90 + pages, but if you are on DLA now and runs out April 2015, will i get moved to pip or stay with DLA?
Someone said it was just new applicants now, going straight to PIP
    Thanks :)

It depends on your area. There are some people on here whose awards ran out this year who were invited to claim PIP and others stayed on DLA.

You will be invited to apply for PIP sometime between now and 2017.
  • I got my decision letter today and have been awarded standard rate care but nothing for my mobility. When going through the points given it said I had 12 points for the lack of my mobility, even the decision maker agreed that I had very poor mobility. Phoned them this morning asking why not awarded mobility, and even the woman on phone couldn't understand what has happened! Now got to wait on a call back in 5 days time. How realistic are they being with time scales? Has anyone else had this happen to them?

If you were given 12 points that means you should have been awarded enhanced mobility! If the decision maker agreed on your poor mobility then when weren't you awarded it! This just means you have a VERY good case for a Mandatory Reconsideration (MR). You need to ask for a copy of your report. Don't wait for the call back because they very often don't call you. They do this all the time because they don't want you to ask for that MR. You only have 28 days in which to ask for this MR. Please do this in writing explaining why you disagree with the decision. Please don't wait. Do this tomorrow. Good luck.
  • i just want to say thank you to all of you who have posted in this thread! iv been reading this for the past month!! i have been getting low rate mobility for the last 2 years! in march/april this year i had to put in for the pip!! its made me feel so ill! a lot worse than i usually am and i didnt think i could get any worse! its been a nightmare i had my medical in September! i thought they wasn't going to award me anything if im honest! yesterday my letter came with my decision! i was awarded high rate daily and low rate mobility and if im honest it actually made me feel all sorts of emotions! i wanted to cry with relief that i no longer had to wait for the dreaded letter but i also felt sick! i opened the letter and didnt even read the first letter to begin with! i was shaking so flicked through the pages quickly and got to the last page and read "NOW YOUR GETTING PIP" my heart was beating that fast i thought i was going to have a heart attack, i then read the first page to find out what i had been awarded! i should of had daily when i had first put in for dla but i didnt have the strength to appeal i just accepted it! i woke up at 4 this morning thinking about all the people who have posted in this forum! feeling sad for the ones who haven't been awarded! and happy for the ones who have! id say to stay strong but it completely and utterly disgusts me the way its dragged out! it's almost like they don't care about how ill it makes you when you are waiting! it makes you feel more ill than what you already are! i understand that the doctors and the nurse that done my pip assessment and most probably even the decision maker think im a complete and utter nut-case that's fare enough as i think i am but they made me want to be sectioned for my own safety! i wont say what's wrong with me but i will say i haven't had the best times in my 27 years of life!! im going to get better though i have to as other wise there going to win! i hope you all get what you deserve! people don't chose to be ill it just happens! your life can be going fine and with in no time it changes! thanks all for your posts goodluck!!! xxxxxxxxx p.s i was awarded from november 2014 to march 2017! no back payment which to be honest im not bothered about! xxxx
