Hi, it will just automatically stop once you reach 52 weeks. Once you get to 9 months if you still haven't had your assessment you could contact you local MP for help. This may hurry it along.

Hi Chabba. I had an embarrassing time at both my ESA and PIP assessments with incontinence problems, had to go to the toilet multiple times. If anything I think it actually aided my claim because the assessor had physical proof of how my incontinence affects me, not just my word for it. So try not to worry about it too much :)

Thank u for your reply i will let you know how tomorrow goes I am so nervous xxx
  • Good luck for tomorrow.

I have still been ringing daily to see if my decision is showing. .....yesterday a lady asked me if I'd asked anyone to send a message through to the DM to try and speed it up, I very politely told her that every time I had asked for help I'd been told there was nothing that could be done so she put a message on the notes! Today when I called, still nothing. The gentleman could see yesterday's note that had been added and couldn't understand why there was such a delay. I informed him that I was now going to be in touch with my MP and he did a bit more tapping and asked if I wanted to make a complaint, to which I said yes and I told him that I was still going to contact my MP. This is a job for tomorrow when I can concentrate a little better. It should not be so frustrating. :-(

I sent my letter away last Monday to request a MR should I receive a letter back to acknowledge this? Fingers and toes crossed

I have read your threads & it is all complete madness isn't it! I am not entirely sure what the purpose of the call centre is as they don't appear to have access to any answers on well anything! Wishing you luck!

Hi, the exact same thing happened to me!! I rang one day to be told what you were told, i then rang Atos who said they haven't received anything back and my case was now closed with them. Next day i rang DWP and a decision was made, so they had in fact lied to me the previous day. Ring again today and ask again if a decision has been made, but leave it until as late as possible. Good luck.
