Hi, the exact same thing happened to me!! I rang one day to be told what you were told, i then rang Atos who said they haven't received anything back and my case was now closed with them. Next day i rang DWP and a decision was made, so they had in fact lied to me the previous day. Ring again today and ask again if a decision has been made, but leave it until as late as possible. Good luck.

Well l called & was told it hadn't been returned to the assessment provider the report is all ok & a letter confirming progress was sent out to me a few days ago - whatever that may mean! I was told though that decisions are taking 9 weeks so if this be true lm a little over 6 weeks to go! After all of this knowing my luck the claim will be rejected!

Yes i thought you'd be told just that lol The progress letter is a standard letter sent out to everyone. It will tell you that they have all the evidence they need and a decision will be made soon. I also had one. Normally when they send these the decision comes just a few days later. Leave a couple of days and ring again. Frustrating i know but you're almost there and hopefully it will be good news and then you can relax.

Hubby has his F2F tomorrow morning hopefully they wont cancel and hopefully it wont be a " friendly chat" as others are saying they have had as he will talk a load of rubbish!
49 weeks since the initial claim! hopefully he will get it awarded without having to go through more stress of the appeal process this is really having a adverse effect on his health

I would advice you to go with your hubby and speak for him. Take extra evidence with you if possible and think before you speak because some questions are asked multiple times but in different ways and they're trying to trick you. Good luck and please do let us know the out come.

Hi, could anyone advise me please? Claiming pip as my sons appointee, ( had home visit from capita cancelled as they explained they had enough evidence and information) they told myself that all documents have been sent over to dwp for a final decision to be made and this should take a week or so, have phoned dwp last week and was told with a decision maker for a decision and should take a couple of days, have just phoned this morning and someone told me they have not received the electronic copy ( whatever that means) would I be able to ring capita and ask them to check everything has been sent over? Or am I not supposed to do that? Was told last week dwp had received everything on the 9th October.. Many thanks any advise appreciated...

Yes ring Capita and ask them. DWP are probably lying to you as they always do. Usually they receive the electronic copy first then the paper copy. Good luck.

Thank you poppy for your reply, I rang capita to ask and was told the paper and electronic copy had been sent over on the 6th October, but they would send them again today as dwp have told me they have not had the electronic copy, it just seems pointless phoning dwp to ask anything because you get told one thing from one person and then something totally different from another, we will just have to wait now and hope they have everything they need now... But THANKYOU for reply!
  • I have put in an appeal after M.R. never changed decision. I was wondering how long has it took dwp to reconsider their decision once sent to appeal. Appeal sent me a letter last week saying it will take 22-26 weeks for an appeal date so am hoping dwp will reconsider.
Do dwp have a deadline once its gone to appeal to reconsider as I saw someone put they have 28 days to provide evidence is that for everyone's case my letter just said they have requested all paperwork from dwp but never mentioned a timescale. Anyone who has been through this and can give me advice I would very much appreciate it x
