I got my decision letter today and have been awarded standard rate care but nothing for my mobility. When going through the points given it said I had 12 points for the lack of my mobility, even the decision maker agreed that I had very poor mobility. Phoned them this morning asking why not awarded mobility, and even the woman on phone couldn't understand what has happened! Now got to wait on a call back in 5 days time. How realistic are they being with time scales? Has anyone else had this happen to them?
Hi Jenni, I had exactly the same thing happen to me - letter said that I was not awarded mobility - yet was awarded 11 points. I rang them up and they said it was an error and that I was entitled to mobility. Money was back paid within 5 days and a follow up phone call was made by DWP to apologize for the error and did I wish to make a complaint. Heres hoping it is just another minor clerical error for you and it gets rectified just as quickly.0 -

Hi, i had my decision 2 weeks after my assessment but it depends on where you live and how much of a back log there is. Also it depends on how quickly your assessment provider sends back both copies of your report to DWP. Once they receive both copies and they have all the evidence they need a decision will be made. When was your assessment?0 -

I've been checking this thread for the past couple months and it's really helped me get a better idea of what to expect with my own claim. I had my WCA on Monday but I'm really starting to feel anxious about it. The HP was rushing me and said I've got another person to see in half an hour so we need to hurry up. She also got really funny when I had to go to the bathroom half way through (incontinence problems) and when I told her about my severe b12 deficiency said "that doesn't cause any symptoms you can easily treat it with tablets"... Proceeded to inform her I'm on monthly injections for the rest of my life and have medical evidence to prove how it's affected me, to which she was a bit dumbfounded. Then she made me do a peak flow test but she got frustrated because I have breathing issues and had to sit down between each of the 3 tests because it left me out of breath. I felt like she was putting words into my mouth constantly. And on top of that they "lost" all my medical evidence that I sent with my original claim. Should I file a complaint against the HP or will it do nothing to aid my claim? I know it's quite minor but she really made me feel awful and I wasn't able to even explain my full health problems because she wanted to just get it over with.. Really worried that my award will be comprised because of this.0

Thank you for your reply.
It was the week before last, the DWP have said it went to a decision maker last Monday so hopefully it won't be much longer.0 -
