My gp did throw that word around that it's a possibility,it's so hard to go from being relatively fit and running around to feeling like a 100yr old,I cannot sleep due to pain,I could cry and do most days as feel so useless,I'm so incredibly angry that the health care professional that came out sat and listened to myself and my husband, she saw how distressed I was at my lack of independence, the shame I feel at my husband having to do such things for me and then goes away and gives me points saying that I can manage with aids..... If only I could I'd then have some freedom, I feel so down that she could do that,if only they walked in my shoes so to speak then they'd know how hard it is,thank you once again x0

Enhanced daily living backdated to last October, although not enough points for mobility - but it could have been worse!
Keep on keeping on guys ..... and to those of you appealing, I wish you all the best.

Hi all I was awarded standard daily in june I asked for a M.R. because my report was not accurate (the lady who did my assessment was lovely but left before completing my report so another health professional from capita who had never met me completed my paperwork) I posted on here a while ago about it all.
Anyway after about 14 weeks they refused to change decision. So am awaiting decision letter so can go to tribunal.
From what I see when you apply to tribunal and they contact pip, pip then change their mind and actually award you what your entitled to have any of you actually been to tribunal or was your decision overturned before you got to go court and whats the time scale from applying to court to getting your decision weather from pip or going to tribunal thankyou x0 -

Hi Rebjen
As promised an update for you regarding MR timescales. I called today and was told they are working on my MR now and to call back Monday as they should have a decision. I am on week 8/9 so they are working as stated on 8/9 weeks for MR's. I intend to ring tomorrow before the weekend as I am finding it all really stressful playing the waiting game. I am concerned in case the new case manager does not agree with my higher rate mobility award. Just can't face the weekend not knowing if they have reached a decision. Will update you.
Have they called you regarding your MR yet?

Hi,
It took approx two weeks in total. I sent my appeal papers along with a letter from my consultant. I rang them up 2 days later and they said they had received them and a letter was in the post for me, they also told me they had sent all the info to the dwp. i contacted the dwp and asked if they had received it which they said they had not. i then asked for a manager to ring me which took for days. He rang me the one day and spoke to me and told me he would be looking at my case the next day. He then rang me the next day and asked me a few questions and then told me i was to be awarded standard daily living and higher rate mobility. He also said if i had sent the letter from my consultant in the first place i would have been awarded at the first decision.
Good look and don't let em grind you down. xxxx0 -
