Changing to PIP they contact you earlier than they would do if you're staying on DLA. The backlog for PIP is huge and people are waiting as much as 8 months for assessment. Take a look at this timetable and it will tell you if you'll be changing or not. http://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/personal-independence-payment-pip/pip-timetable
Sorry I don't quite understand what your saying.0 -
Can I also as how successful people normally are at MR? As looking at my points they should have certainly been higher on 2parts and I'm looking at it realistically, thank you all again
Hi Rebjen
Sorry to hear your claim was not successful. I am awaiting the outcome of my MR I am now coming up to 8 weeks. I have been quoted 8-9 weeks for an outcome. I was told on Friday my MR was added to a case managers workload on Monday 1st October so expect to hear soon. I will post my outcome when I hear. I read on a government site 52% are successful at MR stage so don't lose hope. Take a look on rightsnet.org.uk. some very interesting posts and info.

Called them today to query the points only to be told I will have a call back due to my refusal,I won't get that until anytime between 10th-17th October,it's awful,I will fight this as so very angry that they wrote that I can manage with an aid when we were very clear my husband dresses me,showers me and personal care,I don't know why they would put that down as even my OT who has put me forward for a wet room has said the aids wouldn't be suitable for me,anyway I'm so very down today thinking oh maybe I don't deserve it but I will try my hardest as it would ease the Burden on my husband, thank you all for your help and support x0

Hi Rebjen, I don't understand the part " i can manage with an aid" because if aids are used you score 2 points. You score more points if you need help from someone. I use aids too for toilet and i have them on my bed also. I have a wet room but also have a seat to use when i shower. My daughter washes my hair and dresses me. I scored points for this also. I scored 8 points for daily living. Also i can't walk far at all and use a stick always. I scored 10 points for mobility and moving around. Have you been diagnosed with anything, if you don't mind me asking? May i also ask what evidence you sent in with your claim? xx0 -
Hi poppy12345 what I meant about I use aids is what they had put on my form and awarded me 2points for this on showering, toilet use and dressing,I'm upset as I have limited movement in my hands(I can't grip and the same with movement in my arms) I am also obese and simply cannot clean myself at the toilet(sorry for being so descriptive) I don't know what is wrong with me as the gp thought it was some form of arthritis (I always thought it was simply weight related the pain I feel) I also suffer very badly with being unbalanced,I cannot raise my arms enough to even put my own bra or top on without my husband basically doing it,I am also asthmatic and get very out of breath and find bending down(more like trying to bend) simply impossible as I'm left very breathless, the only documents they have are from my GP and my OT who have said that hand rails etc will not be of assistance as I cannot grasp them,I go to see a rheumatologist next week as my GP has said my pain receptor score is high on my blood tests,I feel really useless and just wish they could tell me what's wrong,I've had simple pain relief such as the higher strength co codamol which didn't touch it,then amitriptyline which again was useless and now trying gabapentin which I still have to take co codamol with simply to be able to move around,I'm sorry to go on but can't give definite answers as to be honest I just don't have them,my mobility is limited but as long as I go slow I can walk and as long as I know the route and plan where I can sit etc,I didn't say I had any mobility issues as I can manage with some help,it's my daily living I struggle with, thank you again for listening to me drivelling on x0
