Thank you shell9486, it's the waiting it truly gets you down, the money could really help me as getting out is an issue (due to
Mobility) find myself feeling isolated,I could then at least afford a taxi etc and feel a bit of independence, hoping yours goes on ok x

I've heard that they're making decisions quite quickly after assessment. I'd ring and ask after a couple of weeks. In the meantime you could also ask for a copy of your assessment report. Good luck
  • Hi Rebjen, DWP say to allow 3 weeks for a decision after they receive the report, etc, from the assessors. Some people (me included) have heard quicker than that and some slower although from what I've noticed on this thread recently they seem to be getting through them a bit quicker now!

Good luck and I hope you hear soon.

  • Hey boys and girls . Just a quick question , I started my claim on January the 4th 2014 and still havnt even had an appointment letter come through . I have contacted them multiple times and am told that I am on the waiting list. My question is has anyone else here waited that long and if so did they (atos) give any justification as to why it has taken so long ?.

    Thanks in advance.
  • hi thomas tank, mine took 9mths I think ot all depends where you are in the country, the waiting times are crazy I have read that if you ring on a monday morning you may be able to get a cancellation, when I rang all they said is that its in date order and appointments are system generated. hopefully you will get one soon.
  • Hi, I applied July 2013 and finally had my f2f in June 2014! Contact your mp - I had my f2f within a week of emailing my mp! Good luck.
