Hi Geordie girl, just logged in to check how things were and so sorry the MR was not successful. Please dont give up and please call on me if there is anything I can do to help at all. I have been devastated for everyone who has been turned down but you do end up following some situations like yours willing them to be successful. I truly do think it will be at appeal. I am just about to ring them myself though rang on Friday and there was no movement yet. Will keep updated.:)
  • OK, to those of you like me who get refused, fight back! Yes, I made myself quite poorly doing so but I believed my daughter was entitled. Just put the phone down to DWP and they have overturned the original refusal and awarded my daughter enhanced care!!! I cannot believe it and burst into tears. So from going from a refusal and 4 points, they have now agreed enhanced care. Dont know how many points they have now awarded but apparently the entitlement letter went 13/9 so should find out soon. I can finally help my daughter get some specialist care. In particular, Geordie girl and Mrs Ryan - please fight this. Much love to you all and thank you so much for all the support. I will be staying on line to help the rest of you as much as I can. :j Btw, we are now at 58 weeks from first claim for those of you interested in timescales!

Fabulous news kken, I'm really made up for you and your family! I hope this means you can take a little time now to look after yourself.

Geordiegirl - gutted for you. I agree, if appealing is not going to cause you too much stress, you have nothing to lose by doing it. Just be kind to yourself though.

For those on a DLA migration as I was, my award was decided mid August to start on Sept 9th, so payments won't actually begin until October. At this moment in time, it's a long time coming, and to top everything off, my washing machine broke at the weekend! I still have no income, the DWP are faffing about trying to reinstate my IR ESA so things are still extremely difficult. At least I know there's light at the end of the tunnel though, I'd just like it to be a little brighter!
  • thank you poppy12345, i had a male assessor from capita and my assessment lasted about an hour which probably isnt that bad, i just found it embarrasing more than anything. This forum is great though, some really good information on here x
