So, apart from the money/using his own laptop caveats you really don't mind him watching. My friend's partner was downstairs looking at !!!!!! while she was upstairs in bed. Would that be ok with you?

(Feel free to tell me to sod off if you don't want to talk about it :))

This would bother me on the same level that it would bother me if he was watching a series that we like to watch together, alone downstairs without me. When we are both in the house at the same time we tend to be doing things together. We only ever go to bed at the same time, anyway.

Would I be upset? Only if he'd been watching it and hadn't asked me to join in :rotfl:

Seriously though, it's well documented that men (and women to an extent- women are more turned on by emotional sex...) are very visual creatures, the ideology of !!!!!! has been around since someone worked out how to carve a naughty picture on the wall.

IMO When it comes to !!!!!! in a relationship it comes down to whether or not the habit itself is jepodising the relationship. You can't swoop in and ask him/her to stop doing something they enjoy and did so before your exisitance in their life.

It's stuff you find out in the beginning of your relationship, like they love heavy metal and are a vegan... you either accept it as it is and continue the relationship or decide if it's a dealbreaker and move on to someone more vanilla. :D
Some times you have to hold back to go forward to where you want to be.

Me and OH are the same, we have ALWAYS gone to bed at the same time, so if suddenly one night he says, "I'm gonna to stay up a little longer", with no other indications of 'getting it on', I would be saying very loudly HMMMM

I have to say though, him paying £400 for it has made me paranoid. This month his credit card bill came through with no itemisation, but it was £300 more than I was expecting. First thing I thought was the little b*gger is up to it again, but turns out it was my birthday present. I didn't accuse him of anything, but it really was the first thing that came to mind, and I'd have him over hot coals if it happened again.

Yeah, to be honest my OH and I go to bed together 99 times out of 100. I'm glad we're not the only ones!

Do you think you'd react in the same way if you found that he'd secretly spent £400 on, I don't know, a new watch for himself or something else frivolous. Or is it specifically that it's !!!!!!?

No, because he never treats himself, so I would've probably be a tad annoyed he'd not talked to me about it, but in the end he isn't one for indulging so a one-off I'm not fussed about.

It is specifically the !!!!!!, essentially because it is SO easy to get it for free, and fairly good quality stuff for free, and also it was £400 on a 1v1 cam which is my bane. So basically, if he spent another £400 on a 1v1 cam, I would castrate him.

If he spent £400 on normal !!!!!!, I would ask him what the hell is wrong with redtube or the like, and he has spent £400 on something essentially you can easily get for free when he could have bought himself a new TV or PC for the same price.

That's essentially what I asked him when he told me about it, and if I'm honest I think he felt more stupid than I felt annoyed, like the spark of realisation "bloody hell I could have a new tv :("

Haha, fair enough. I think I would feel the same. :)

I take that as, say if he was away on business, that's fine because he's not replacing anything with her. If he's at home, she makes the moves, "No darling I want to watch some !!!!!! not have sex", then that'd be a huge no-no!

Yeah this basically. I also wouldn't mind if he'd tried it on and I'd not been up for it (rare, but it happens haha) and then he watched it, that'd be fine. It would only bother me if he went straight for the !!!!!! and bypassed the idea of sex completely.

For me, it really depends on the situation. A few of my experiences:

One ex treated me in bed as if we were in a !!!!!! film, calling me names etc, which I didn't like but he kept doing it. He had no similarities at ALL with a !!!!!! star if you get my drift).

Another gave me his (very dodgy) !!!!!! collection when he moved countries. This included a home made version he filmed with his previous gf.

Another one had an obsession with a "model" who had "accidentally" made some home movies and he kept searching online for pictures and films of her. Every day.

These three got dumped for a variety of reasons, but the !!!!!! issues didnt help. If there's no secrecy, not 1-2-1, costs money, underage, really violent/fetish-like or "replaces" me, then I have no issues with it.

Having said all that, I'm so glad I'm single :rotfl:

Have you never read about people that only did it in the dark, half dressed, quick in and out and turn over straight after?:rotfl:

I have, but I didn't quite believe they were real...
