out of 31 pix most are of Barnes moving out of view or 'smiling' with his eyes shut!

the above large pic is before I got him, this is when mum got him, he had put on weight with me then he got stressed so lost a little. now looks fantastic and gaining weight again with mum.
nice work muv glad I made that decision now. glad dad fell in love with him to make it happen although he had no choice, must say I was reluctant to allow you to keep him, had many thought processes and scenarios I was running in my mind about that, but ultimately it was barney who helped me make that decision, he's better of where he is.
glad to see he is finally growing into his fur, his face had put weight when you had him mum, he grew his colonel lips and brows and paws fattened with me.
with you he has grown into his face completely and his body just a little more fat now and that will be full weight.0 -
I am glad you did too luv! We only ever wanted what was best for Barney and I am glad he is thriving with us!
your Dad keeps threatening to throw him out when he sharpens claws on the carpet, but I have this sneaking suspicion that if anyone tried to take Barney off us - He would be first to say 'You cant have him - he is MINE!'
at the mo Barnes is cuddled up on his lap - jeez that cat is an expert on human psyche..........he doesn't lapsit me! saves that for Dad to make him feel 'special'! rofl.0 -
I think Barnes 'knows' I have a sore rib. he has given two cat massages today and both have been on the other side of my ribcage. he seems to be carefully avoiding the 'hurt' area!
I managed to 'spring' a rib on sunday! it was the stupidest thing! mum hasn't got enough chairs for all of us, so I was sat on one of those plastic garden chairs with arms. DD passed me her phone to show me a pic and when I passed it back I leaned over the arm of the chair and stretched too far while my balance went and I went down on the arm of the chair! my lowest rib at the back I 'FELT' click out of place and suddenly I had trouble breathing! it was very very painful! I managed to manipulate the rib back - but it isn't getting better its getting worse. I am fairly comfortable sitting here with a cushion supporting my back - but lying down is painful. so I haven't had much sleep! Barnes is getting fed up with me not lying down all night so he has taken to 'windowsill sleeping'.
gonna have a couple of glasses (bottles if necessary) of wine tonight and a couple of paracetamols and hope I get SOME sleep! I bet Barnes hopes I sleep too!
Barnes ate Two sachets of Sheba chicken in Sauce tonight! he wolfed down one packet and yowled piteously by the licked clean plate until I gave him another (he has left a few morsels for 'ron' - but, that is his habit with his supper - he likes a midnight 'snack')0 -
Those pictures are beautiful Meritan, he is such a gorgeous cat!
Our bunny is being a monster at the moment. As it is very cold out and she is an outside rabbit we put layers of paper, sawdust, hay and straw in the sleeping area of her cage. The little !!!!!! had dragged it all out into the day bit, not a scrap remains where she sleeps! Tonight I went out in the dark, could hear her couldn't see her and the daft thing had pulled out big whole sheets of newspaper from the bottom of the pile and couldn't see out they covered her food bowls and were in her way everywhere she went. I think she was pleased once I removed them!0 -
lol - she isn't the brightest bulb in the chandelier then Dozey?
I used to have rabbits and they were outdoors too. my dad bought some roofing stuff and with old bits of rug and carpet and the roofing stuff 'insulated' the hutches. (sis had a rabbit too but he was a whole other story!)
It was definitely my job to go out in the dark, with a torch and make sure the bunnies had access to food and water before I pulled down the 'cover' which stopped wind and rain etc from entering the hutches. and then first thing in morning I was back out uncovering them. this was 'winter work'. come spring/summer/autumn I didn't have to do that. our bunnies were fine!0 -
when you said Barney has a mustache, he brought to mind Jimmy Edwards!Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!DFW Long Hauler Supporter No 1500
