Grandcat having extended 'sleepover'!

Hi Meritaten!
My Scrappy has been attacked again (i assume by the bully tom cat again!) That's all 4 legs now. Hubby took him to the vet last night as his leg was swelling up and the poor kitty is on painkillers and antibiotics. The vet also said he's put on a lot of weight since his last injury related visit in September - from 4kg to 4.95kg!!!
I somehow now have to monitor and limit his intake AND get 1.5 tablets down him twice a day without putting the others noses out of joint. Teatime is going to be bonkers in my house tonight.
He's back off to grandma's on Friday for a week (whilst we're on holiday) with lil kitten (who's not so little now) I'd ask mum to keep him for longer but dad's really ill and she has enough to worry aboutScrappy and Grandad can both "feel sorry for themselves" together whilst Grandma plays nurse

I had a DSH called dusty years ago, he was being attack but couldn't pin it the dogs owner, she always left to wonder the site, anyway dog left his tooth in dusty's leg, £300 to remove and give antibiotics.
its pittty dusty was affected and felt threatened by my then newborn daughter we rehomed to a more lesser hecktick household.
perhaps cat could be rehomed with grandparents?0 -
Atrix - the tom cat seems to disappear for while then just reappears. The other cats seem to either fight him off or run like mad to escape but Scrappy just isn't so lucky/tough. He did stay at Grandma's for a month but like I say, there's a lot going on there so probably not ideal at the moment.0

hmmm - poor Scrappy! I know he enjoys his 'visits' to grandpa and grandma though! I am sure they would say if it was too much trouble to have him as grandpa is ill. perhaps grandma thinks it worth it to give grandpa pleasure and an interest. and poor Scrappy will get some 'coddling' too! Best wishes to all of you! hope 'grandpa' gets better soon!0

Naw - I am keeping this one mum!0 -
mum! This isn't my 'good' side - I look like there is something in my eye!0 -
Jeez - the lighting in this room does NOT show my beautiful fur off!
edit - OMG he looks like he is sporting a whacking great handlebar moustache! rofl!
What he is REALLY thinking here is: 'that ping pong ball is only just under settee..........shall I stir myself to go get it? Or not? or will mum be upset as she is trained to go 'fetch' them?'0
