lol - great names so far! keep em coming!
I did post Barnes has immaculate manners didn't I? Cant decide if this was a lapse or not - OH was drinking a cup of tea and Barney was sat on settee beside me. OH put his tea down on the floor instead of on the coffee table, and Barney jumped down, sauntered over and had a few mouthfuls! OH didn't notice so I didn't say anything! (Baaaaad Meri!). Now, can I excuse this as 'OH put cup down on floor so Barnes naturally thought it was being offered to him'? ~Barney never takes anything off the table, coffee table or worktops..................so maybe he thought 'Oh, Dad put it on the floor so its mine'!
UH OH! squits time again at barney's litter tray, milk tea coffee sets him off no matter how much ingested lactose you see.0 -
oh dear - hope those few mouthfuls he had don't upset his tummy then!0

. if you don't hear much you've gotten away with it.
he is fond of tea mind you, and when its placed on the floor its a free for all situation in his mind and free game, although how on earth did he get his colonel mustache noggin in a small orbital space ill never know, because he was always very unsuccessful in being able to see the cup mouth and place his head in it with accuracy to lap it when he was with me he's been honing his skill when you not looking aswell.0 -

ATRIX! RESPECT PLEASE! rofl
well he homed in on OHs cuppa and helped himself to a few laps! he doesn't bother with mine cos I don't take milk. and I often leave it on floor level.
he had no prob with locating mug of tea!
just like YOU - he prob craves what is bad for him!
ok will go listen to Barnes tum. .....I cant believe I just said that!0 -
Phew - Poo entirely normal, so he got away with his illicit drink of milky tea!
He just has a sniff of my tea or coffee and turns away - no milk! TBH the kids like to have a picnic supper on the rug - and its the only time he ever shows interest in their food - doesn't help they usually have prawns too! he loves them, but I do restrict him to just one or two. (see, I CAN be strict with him!!!!!!!!!!!! lol)0 -
Scrappy has gone back to grandma's for a week's hol. As the vet has said he's put on a kg since Sept (tubster!) he's on a diet, so to speak. Mum says when she refused to feed him extra food, he walloped her with his tail then skulked off to sit with grandad!0

rofl! he isn't used to grandma not spoiling him!
how is your dad his missus? getting better I hope?0 -
Usually I get a call from mum saying "scrappy doesn't like that food you've sent so I've bought **something expensive** as a treat" I've sent him with Perle pouches and Arden Grange biscuits this time!
Dad seems to have responded well to the chemo but he's still really ill and weak and he looks so gaunt and oldI'm hoping having two of my cats might be a distraction for him.

I really hope he feels better soon - and I am sure that having your cats stay can only do him good! will help take his mind off things at least!
This is a very worrying time for you too, his missus. look after yourself and make sure mum doesn't take on too much - she needs some TLC too.0 -
grandgirls slept over - they left bedroom door open for Barney, and as he didn't spend it with me - I assume he kept the girls company.
he sort of 'hung out' with them today. like the quiet kid on the edge of the 'gang'. lol. (apart from short bedroom windowsill 'naps'!)
C helped me 'groom and treats'. she fed him treats and I groomed! I did notice that he was much gentler taking the treats from her fingers - he has nipped mine quite a few times!
each of them has played with him - especially C! she is the one who comes and gets 'catstuff' - catnip that is) to rub on toys for him. he loved that!
He isn't due for worming until Thursday - but I dunno, I just get the 'feeling' I should do it now. I haven't noticed any in his poo, but, I will go with instincts. do it tomorrow.
he is so gentle with the girls - even when they accidentally tread on him! a startled YOWL and leap sideways and then he is hanging round them again, purring his head off!
lol - tonight Barney was comfortably curled up in OHs place on settee - and OH was on the other side. (where the view of TV is rather limited).............I think I know who is now boss of settee!0
