I've had the dreaded lurgy since Saturday and it's really floored me. Seems to be loads of bugs going around here at the moment

Feeling low suffering from the common cold or a dose of flu. Add a bit of colour and sparkle to your life.... Pop a pinch of glitter in your mouth, and when you sneeze, it will brighten up the world around you. :j

That's Freebear, that's certainly a novel way to cope with a cold lol! I wonder if anyone saw on the news about a bad accident involving a bus near Ardrossan today? That's literally just a few minutes from me and I drove that road this morning, it runs along the shore and is quite twisty, lots of silly people try to overtake on the corners and I just hope that's not what happened here, very sad.

    Hope everything's ok Mer? xx

hi all - sorry not posted for a while - but not much to say really. sorry to hear about the dreaded 'lurgy' etc - hope you are both much better now.

Bathroom nearly finished - just waiting for the flooring to be laid on Thursday morning then I can add the finishing touches.
It looks really good already - I do love the tiles I chose! so does everyone who has seen them - and honestly, they are from B&Q so why people think they are unusual is beyond me. But they do look 1000% better on the wall than they do on the store shelf!
Barnes is slowly coming to realise that he doesn't have to put up with a stranger in the house! he isn't QUITE so stressed today - though OH moved the settee yesterday and didn't 'anchor' his daybed ..............with the resultant toboggan down the back of it! only I was sat in front of him so he hit me in the back! Barnes was not happy and relocated to the other settee for a while!

I'm really glad that your nearly finished the bathroom, I'm intrigued by your tiles, what colour did you go for, maybe you could post a wee pic when it's all done?

Poor Barnes, I'm sure he'll be delighted to get back to normal...just like you! xx

hi nonny - these are the tiles from B&q. we chose the 'white' which is really more grayish looking than pure white - there is like a marbling of all shades of light to medium gray in them.

will post a pic when bathroom is all done - if I can find the cable that connects to the camera! no SD slot in the puter.

    Hi Meri.

Feeling distraught today. Old saggy bagpuss Casper has gone missing. Hubby saw him in the kitchen before bedtime but he wasn't there this morning, or just now (we popped home at lunchtime to check)
He's only ever gone missing once for a couple of days but we were saying yesterday how perhaps it's time for his 'final vet's appointment'. He seems to be plodding along but he's so skinny now and has a lump on his back.
I'm just hoping he comes home soon but I'm fearing the worst :(

oh dear, how worrying for you his missus. I hope he has just gone for a wander and will return home soon. Or that you will find him.

Thanks Meri. Still no sign of him but I'm hoping today's rain will force him in if he's just been enjoying the great outdoors.

Any sign of Casper yet His missus? I keep popping on to check even if I don't post.

Thanks nonnie - yes its finally all done! I just need to find the perfect light pulls and it is complete! I chose the turquoise colour to complement - towels, bath mat and the soap dish etc. I had a very pretty white ceramic shell bowl in there which I coloured with my alcohol marker pen and it looks brilliant! I am sooooooo pleased with the room I invite everyone who comes in to take the 'bathroom tour'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
still haven't found the cable that connects our camera to the puter - and both of us have 'dumb phones' that don't even take pics or connect to tinternet! I have a feeling it is with my old computer up in the attic - will have to get OH to go look as I cant get up there.
