Thanks for that Meri, I'll have a look in our Aldi as I need a new ironing board!
So, does Harley just so that to annoy you or is it attention seeking his missus lol xx0 -
I reckon it's a bit of both Nonnie, "I shall gain your attention by annoying you but you will not get angry with me because just look at my cuteness, look at how I roll over and offer you my belly, listen to my purr, look at my adoring eyes!" I fall for it every time too0

Well, after two weeks without childminding we finally got back into routine this morning!
Ava was a delight as usual and as I haven't seen much of her over the last two weeks I can see how she is progressing. She crawls more now (though still prefers bumshuffling when top speed is required), she loves to practice her wave bye bye on the end of her tv shows - bless, its funny to see her waving at the screen! and she shows far more concern/curiosity about what I am doing.
oh and poor Barnes is getting chased about the living room with Ava chuckling to herself! They have a dog who is used to rumbunctious kids - Barnes quickly realised he was going to get grabbed and cuddled if she caught him! so he spent a lot of time jumping up on the furniture to get out of her reach!0 -
Poor Barnes, as long as he is quick enough and doesn't get caught!
Hope none of you are getting the strong winds today, we're getting about 60mph at the moment but nothing we haven't had before and it's due to die down this afternoon so all good. Just as well really as I'm taking mum with dd and I to go prom dress shopping at 5pm today and mum doesn't like going out in high winds (she's been blown over before) so I'm hoping for a nice quiet evening weather wise
His missus you are so right! I fall for the cuteness as well especially during the night when I can't sleep for Sam pretty much taking my whole side of the bed but I don't have the heart to move him. Hubby on the other hand would just send him packing hence why he NEVER sleeps on his side :rotfl:0 -
Don't worry Nonnie - Barnes is as nimble as they come when he wants to be. I love cats athleticism - considering they do no training apart from sleep! a training regime I could adopt! WHAT - go run 5 miles???? naw, just nap for twenty minutes, or an hour, or two hours! eat your favourite foods, get groomed and DONT do anything you don't want to do! Perfect!
Barnes seems to prefer the windowsill for night sleeping, or if I am not feeling too great will come and curl up against me. he does spend some time downstairs judging by the toys left on the living room floor! the pillow on the bed sometimes gets occupied at night but he seems to like that during the day. at least he has stopped curling up on the top of my head like one of those furry Russian hats!0 -
Hope none of you are getting the strong winds today
Had wind all day at work and now it has picked up outside. It may rattle a few tiles, but hopefully we won't lose any.Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
We've started putting Tikka in the kitchen at bed time as she'd started growling and hissing at the other two whenever all 3 slept upstairs with us. I think they're all fine together during the day because there are two humans trying to sleep, turning over in bed and generally disturbing their sleep.
Scrappy has fortunately stopped sleeping on top of me or under the duvet, think it must be due to the milder nights we're experiencing.
He and Harley just find a spare spot on the bed and curl up for the night0 -
I don't think hubby would put up my both mine sleeping on the bed His missus!
I'm glad Barnes is fast Meri as I remember how fast babies are when they want something lol
Ladies I feel very, very stupid tonight.....I, for some totally unknown reason decided today would be a good day to put petrol into my diesel car  Anyway all in I'm just over £200 lighter in the bank and slightly mortified :rotfl::rotfl:but I thought it might give you a wee chuckle! xx0 -
not laughing nonnie - it can happen to anyone! OH did it too - in his works van! we had a petrol car at the time and without thinking he pulled up at a petrol pump! his boss was NOT pleased!
and when we did buy a diesel car I was constantly reminding him it was diesel. he automatically puts diesel in now - but he still has trouble with 'pay by card' pumps - he thinks you put the card in AFTER you pump the fuel! and never remembers to put the Tresco loyalty card in - considering how much fuel he uses in the works van - he could get hundreds of points a week!0 -
Funnily enough it happened in said station.....but I made sure I got my points for the petrol and then the full tank of diesel! xx0
