I presume the N stands for Not :rotfl:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
People have different views about how to dress for events.
I wouldn't take offence at someone's choice unless I knew it had been done with the intention of upsetting me.
I think that's really the key thing, people who ignore the 'customs' without being close enough to know that it won't cause offence do so with a lack of humility and respect. Doing so through ignorance is one thing and its rather foolish of anyone to get silly about it in any case but especially if the 'etiquette breaker' knew no better, but knowing its not always advisable but deciding to go ahead anyway is, IMO discourteous and tactless.
I've been to weddings where the dress code was black or including black, and it would be similarly rude to not wear it when asked.0 -
Getting married Tuesday - eeeee - our colours ARE red and black. I've got a red dress and red shoes and will be carrying a posy of red roses. HWMNBO is wearing black with a red tie..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Each to their own, but I would not be seen dead in those!! No offence.
That style of MJ is great when you're about 10. On the larger lady, the most obvious thing is the large bulge of fat that pokes up through the gap.
I have these for Very Special Occasions.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Would you be wearing much else at those special occasions Jojo?0

I'd rather have the other shoes myself. I definitely couldn't walk in them.:eek:Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -
