Primark are good for tights, definitely roomier than your asda or tesco, morrisons tights are also true to size. I find asdas sizing on tights particularly small.

Here's the linda, but I don't think you could wear them with a dress?

I keep gazing at the shiny red ones in the window ... A couple of weeks ago I bought some Clarks shoes in the sale which weren't black, and for me it was a big deal to buy shoes that weren't black, but I wasn't brave enough to go for the red Linda which were what I really wanted!

Each to their own, but I would not be seen dead in those!! No offence.

    None taken :)

I don't like the straps tbh, they are a bit little-girlish, but I know a woman who bought red shoes a couple of years ago that are similar, and every time she wears them I admire them. Without the straps I would really like those shoes, but well, I think docs are attractive :rotfl:

We're all different. Some of the dresses that have been posted in this thread are not to my taste. I'd have said that some of them are really for pensioners, but then again some of you would think that those shoes are 'old lady' shoes.

Before I got fat I wore velvet ankle boots with silly heels, but nowadays comfort takes priority :o I'm very clumsy, and I walk funny, so something cushioned and flat makes me less likely to fall over.

I think the Linda patent red shoes are adorable! :D

    (((comfy shoes)))
  • Sorry I couldn't trawl through 19 pages of replies so apologies if others have already mentioned my ideas. Also, I know you said you think you're sorted...but just in case you decide you're not :D

    Where do fat people shop?

    Curvissa
    Simply Be
    Fashion World
    Marisota
    Evans
    New Look (Inspire range)
    Tesco (True range)

I personally find Marisota and Fashion World a bit "old" but it obviously depends on your age and taste!

I totally get what you say about finding something that will do rather than something you'll look/feel good in *sigh*

I like them. :D All colours.

I looked at them in Clarks when I was in.

I wouldn't wear them for anything other than casual though. Definitely would with jeans. :D

Ive had a couple of pairs like that, not identical but very similar, one pair black and another chocolate brown, lasted years and were really good for work. Got them from clarks.

Not really a heels person at all, so its nice to be able to find a pair of flat shoes that last and wear well.

I think I've cracked the weight loss secret!

    Attend weddings. Regularly.

I've lost half a stone this week and I haven't eaten any differently. It's solely down to all the running around I've been doing.

If I could find a wedding to go to...say ...once a month, I'd be thin by Xmas. :rotfl:

Clearly an indication I need to move more. :o:D

That's amazing! Serious weightloss - well done you.

I also had my inlaws stay for 3 weeks and lost similar. I swear it's the nervous energy that makes the pounds fall off.
