Aliasojo, please post a photgraph of your new dress, not necessarily you in it, just the dress....

    Enjoy the wedding

I like them. :D All colours.

I looked at them in Clarks when I was in.

I wouldn't wear them for anything other than casual though. Definitely would with jeans. :D

Yes, I'd only wear them with jeans. The playground mum whose shoes I always admire wears them with jeans or trousers.

Did you find some shoes for the dress?

I think I've cracked the weight loss secret!

    Attend weddings. Regularly.

I've lost half a stone this week and I haven't eaten any differently. It's solely down to all the running around I've been doing.

If I could find a wedding to go to...say ...once a month, I'd be thin by Xmas. :rotfl:

Clearly an indication I need to move more. :o:D

Move to Gretna and become a professional wedding witness?
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

I think black is fine to wear to a wedding, especially if it is jazzed up with some bright accessories

The only colour that I really do think is unacceptable is white, especially white lacy dresses, on female wedding guests.
The opposite of what you know...is also true

As someone who got married yesterday, and who wore a very untraditional dress, I would have been a little offended if anyone had worn black.

Black is for funerals and NOT for weddings!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Would you? Really? I think that I have been to many weddings where guests have worn cream and black, black and white, pink and black etc. It is a base colour to be dressed with an accent colour imo.

And....Congratulations, I hope you had a great day, but, shouldn't you still be in bed?;):rotfl:

Black as a second colour would be ok, but just not all or predominantly black!

Bed?? We have a toddler and a puppy - we consider 7am a luxury!

Getting married Tuesday - eeeee - our colours ARE red and black. I've got a red dress and red shoes and will be carrying a posy of red roses. HWMNBO is wearing black with a red tie.

People have different views about how to dress for events.

I wouldn't take offence at someone's choice unless I knew it had been done with the intention of upsetting me.
