How did DDs birthday go deary? I bet she loved it. Bless her saying happy birthday to everyone. Going to get my him in gear as of tomorrow, routine and diet in place!
  • Hi Missy,

DD's birthday was brilliant thank you, she had a great time. I couldn't get her out of bed this morning...typical that when she gets up at 6 all weekend.

I think there is something in the air this time of year, feeling the need to get organised. Let me know how you get on. I have lists to make today, my house is like a bomb site...blooming glitter spread from one end of it to the other .

  • Hi Diary,

Im blooming full of cold today. Ive had it all weekend but the paracetamols take the edge off a bit so Im coping ha ha.
DD had a lovely party and a lovely birthday, it lasted 3 days lol. But it was all worth it.

Yesterday I managed to get out and mow the lawn and wash all the bedding. I took a load of stuff to the tip too so I can move in the garage again now. Thats two things ticked off my list. But I have added another two things because both the car and garage are covered in bits of carpet, so both need a good clear out.

Today Im making a list of things which I need from Mr T, I reckon if we eat everything we have in then we should be OK until Sunday when I will get to go to Mr Als or Mr Ts or both.

First Direct have set up a savings account and an esavings account for me already...but I don't have any details on how to access them and I need the 1st account setting up so I can set up all the standing orders and my pots.

Im going to print off my meal plan every week to take home as otherwise I forget whats on it. Im also going to print off DDs monthly calendar so I know when she is off school. My plan is to get the tea out of the freezer every morning before we set off. Tonights delight is prawn masala.

Like you meal plan idea, I really need to think ahead instead of constantly using the microwave to defrost things. I've joined the fly lady thread in the hope it will help me get organised. I've managed a few things yesterday and plan on more today.
  • Thank you very much MrsP.

Missy, funny you should say that I have got the salmon out of the freezer this morning as I always use the microwave to defrost food which adds cooking time on and then DD starts asking for food whilst she is waiting...so speed is of the essence lol.

I love the fly lady thread, I try and keep on top of the house but DD goes behind me leaving a trail of mess. Maybe it will work if I do one room a night, Ill do bathrooms tonight. Im also hoping to get out in the garden again before it gets cold to get it ready for winter.

It was a bit dark this morning when I got up, but was pleased as I managed a full nights sleep (although a bit broken but thats normal), and DD managed to sleep in her own bed all night...so all happy in the Livvy household.

Pay day tomorrow YIPPEEE. I have ordered some clothes from Next for DD and I ordered too many (spent too much) so I have had the calculator out this morning working out what I am keeping and whats going back. I feel better now I have a limit on the spending and once I have paid for her winter boots too it will still leave me with money in her pot for her October spends. Its all about moderation...I must be learning ha ha. DD got some money for her birthday but only £10 will go towards her clothes as she was sent cheques in her name so they'll be going straight into her savings.

  • Forgot to mention, I have set a reminder to get Mr Al's coupon for a fiver off in The Mirror on Thursday.

Also just printed off the 50p off Velvet loo rolls which were in Martins email this week.

Get me :money: £5.50 off my shopping.

  • Oh don't beat yourself up Livvy, you're doing brilliantly, live your motivation. I can't really stick to the fly lady thread but it does motivate me and I enjoy seeing what I can get done. First thing in the morning is the best time for me to do stuff, both babies are happy and chilled out for a little while then.
  • Good Morning,

YIPPPEEE Its pay day! Im totally over excited about it today for some reason.

Well I managed to clean my bathrooms last night, it took me 30 minutes. How come? Im ironing tonight when I get in. I don't think anyone can stick to that fly lady spread Missy...unless they have super powers lol. It does give you ideas though doesn't it?

I think Ill have tuna steak and mash for tea, DD is eating with her Dad but no doubt she will be hungry when we gets in, so spaghetti at the ready.

I called First Direct at lunch time to get everything set up. Its almost up and running, I just need to put some money in lol. I don't want to do that yet though until I have everything as it should be.

Oooh after being poorly at the beginning of the year and losing weight, I am now back to normal (only taken 7 months), Im not off the steroids yet but Im hoping to get down from 10mg pretty soon.

DD got another tennar for her birthday so thats £100 on clothes, £50 on winter boots minus £20 birthday money, this leaves £80 for monthly spends so really pleased with this pot.
My pot isn't looking so good and I have a day (races for birthday) and night out (leaving do with work) planned for October.

Off to the local shop on the way home for some essentials and some well deserved wine.
